Sunset over Hawaii
Another one of luke's masterpieces
Aloha everyone! So we left Fiji and headed to another Pacific Island, Oahu. Oahu is an island of Hawaii and is home to Honolulu and the world famous Waikiki Beach. We stayed here for a couple of days before setting off to another of Hawaii's islands; Maui. Whilst here we just took it easy and took full advantage of having sky tv in our rooms! We were also only one block away from Waikiki beach and went down to the beach to practice our body boarding skills. We were going to Maui to meet Kate's mum and dad for 10 nights [View Full Entry]

Bula everyone (this means hello and welcome)!!! It doesn't seem two minutes since we arrived but our two weeks in Fiji are nearly over and then its time for Hawaii and only five weeks until we arrive home! We arrived on the biggest of Fiji's islands; Viti Levu but this is just one of over 300 islands scattered around the South Pacific. We have come to Fiji just to chill out and relax and to take part in what is known as Fiji time! We landed in the country's third largest town; Nadi and stayed for 5 nights down by the [View Full Entry]

Give it a chance!
Fore!!

Hello everyone! We're off to Fiji tomorrow night so this signifies the end of our tour of New Zealand and what a great time we've had in this country! We had a wonderful time in the south island and this continued throughout the north island! We arrived in Wellington in the the north island by the interisland ferry from Picton and this passed through the Marlborough Sounds. In Wellington we explored the city centre and then drove up so we could view the magnifcent views across the Wellington area. Next stop was at the other side of the country, on the [View Full Entry]

Hi everyone, So yes we've finally left Australia after 6 months there and have moved on to New Zealand, (where its like being back in England). For the first couple of weeks it was cold, wet and windy, we've even seen snow making us feel for at home but then its stated to get nice and warm again and our tan is returning. So we started off in Christchurch (halfway down the south island on the east coast) and is known as the most english of New Zealand cities. We felt very at home with the pretty churches and cathedrals, english [View Full Entry]

Hi everyone, just one more blog before we leave Australia and fly onto New Zealand. Since our last blog, my sister Charlotte has come over for a 3 week holiday and wanted to travel around the country a little. So we decided to hire out a campervan for 9 days and explore what south west Australia has to offer. The first day we headed east for around 350km's, into the outback, to a little town called Hyden. Hyden is home to a large rock formation known as Wave Rock. Wave Rock is a granite cliff and is 15 metres high and [View Full Entry]

Working christmas eve!
It’s a bit late but merry Christmas and a happy new year to everyone back home! We're already well into the New Year and this means our time in Australia is coming to an end. We've now been Auzzies for five months and have been based here in Perth for two months so we thought it was time to show you some Christmas photo's and let you know what we've been up to! Well all we've done is work, work, work and more work. You come away for a year and spend a quarter of the time working; what’s all this [View Full Entry]

Hi everyone, So we have survived Australia's outback and are now well and safe and working, yes working! We are now staying with Luke's Aunty, Uncle and two cousins in Perth until we leave for New Zealand in February. So yes we both have jobs. After 5 months without one we thought it was about time we got one and also, we need the money. We both work down by the sea in a bar/restaurant. Luke is behind the bar and Kate is one of the waitresses. Luke can even do cocktails but don't have to throw any bottles around or [View Full Entry]

After leaving Sydney, we moved on to Melbourne, the 2nd largest city in Australia. Obviously our first concern was to get on the two Neighbours tours thats run here. We got on a new tour that has just started, that visits the actual sets of the show as well as Ramsay Street and Erinsborough High. We got a bit excited at it all, taking lots of pics. We also went on the Neighbours trivia night, where we met some of the stars; these included Dr Karl, Dylan, Max, Adam (aka Foz from Hollyoaks), Rachel and Bouncer the dog!!! We found out [View Full Entry]

So the last time we made a blog, we had just arrived at Brisbane, which now seems so long ago. Brisbane is a really friendly and thriving city with lots of beautiful outdoor spaces right in the metropolis, to spend time to relax. We spent 4 days exploring the city, being tourists at the museums and art galleries and enjoying the hot days picnicking in the many parkland areas surrounding Brisbane river. After Brisbane, we went to go and stay with kate's mum's cousin Janet and her husband Gordon. They live in the hinterland, west of Surfer's Paradise, in a village [View Full Entry]

So g'day from down under!!! It doesnt feel weird to be upside down and we haven't even noticed the water down the plug hole thing yet!!!!! But first things first we must tell you about Singapore airport before we get onto Oz. Before we arrived in oz, we departed from Singapore airport. This was like a holiday in itself. We checked our bags in and walked past duty free where we received free, yes free shots of alcohol. There was also an Elvis concert going on, a sudoku championship occurring and numerous other freebies like free internet, massage chairs and x-box’s. [View Full Entry]
