Even Christ hung out with sinners and prostitutes, and he never once judged them in that kind of way. I mean, the Bible doesn't say to avoid those who don't share your views like the plague...that's wrong. It's basically a warning to be secure enough with your own faith that you won't have your opinions turned every time you hear something new. I don't think I'm explaining this well. The point is, Bennie and Rachel are wrong. If the whole point of Christianity is to reach out to others, how can you do it if you refuse to associate with "non-believers" because they might drag you down? All you're doing is putting yourself on a pedestal and are no better than the Pharisees of Jesus's time. Tell that to Bennie next time and watch her head explode. |
