Herbie Hi Lizzy P. Herbie will be fine and having a nice rest. He will be pleased to see you and will perhaps require a new flower or two? He will be all charged ready for some adventure when you get back. Just rev him up, give him a kiss and he will be fine!! Whale etc spotting sounds lovely. Love, John
Survivor Not quite that bad Tami, I didn't have to eat any bugs, but the sand flies certainly had a feast of my legs!! Every squashed one was surrounded by a pool of my blood - greedy little varmints!!
Quite a 'feet';? Well done again Lizzie P. The Tasman walk sounds wonderful and quite a 'feet' as they say. Yet more stuff in the memory bank and now enjoy the whales. Love, John
Bum wiggle No way - I was far too terrified to even think of getting out the camera! It is a case of real fear when I do that kind of thing. Heard about the Test on Totaranui beach and celebrated it with a bottle of wine last night.
Contacts I shall give him your telephone number - there are so many things in his house that you have that I think the three of you would get on very well!
Green mussels There weren't too many in evidence, possibly the wrong season? Theywere also telling us to limit the number of cockles to 50. However, walk done, bridge crossed, earthquake experienced here for me too and now I have to work out what to do with my swollen foot which did not like the spikes on the beach... ouch!
wobbely or what Just to remind you to pick some of those loverly green tipped mussles (that is if you are still allowed to do something as bad as that). There were loads of them all along the able tasman track.
I shall forward your comments .......... to Fred, who we have just spent the day with! You are obviously finding the most useful people on your travels! Keep it up ......
Back on line Hi Lizzie P. I have re-subscribed so I received your latest. Walk sounds wonderful but more compost heaps than you? Really?? Cricket in Wellington looking good with two days left. Any pickies of the bum wiggle?? Love, John
Hi Liz. Perhaps the 'best is yet to come' on South Island!! I asked about Wellington cos I have some friends who live in Parameta. Denise and Roger would I think like to have met you. They have been there since 1966 and have the interesting address Bayview Road. Never mind, more 'wow moments' beckon. Love, John
Re:South Island I find it very interesting that the Colonel Knob Walkway was made by 18 prisoners so they could pay a debt to society.
In regards to the Abel Tasman walk; are you taking The Happy Track or The Coastal Track?
Wellington I bypassed Wellington and am now down in the South Island. It is so lovely I willnot be going back for hte cricket - if they had won the match I might be considering it!!
I think I have messed it up Hi Lizzie P
Not been getting your blogs so I suspect that I have pressed wrong buttons on my computer. Silly old fool!! Now picked later blogs up through an early one. You picked the best day for the cricket and the best day to head for the desert road. Seen it on internet and it looks terrific. Are you going to Wellington at all? Love John
Vicarious living Oh Liz, this has been such fun and people are so friendly here. The transport is good too, so cars are not always needed. I am doing lots of walking but not much of the exercises... will need to work off some of the food, yet again!!
trip Ooh yes, I want to go to the islands too, should only take about one year to do all of that!!!
Don't forget the filthy rich oil men out there in Texas as well - LOL!

You bloomin dyslexics!! But what a sight they were - one of my pinch me moments on the trip.
