Vietnamese cooking I can't wait to try it when you get home. We ate in a vietnamese restaurant in Bangkok which was very memorable., buy have not tried any in T.O.
Jealous I have just caught up on your more recent adventure and will admit to being jealous. IT appears to be a wonderful adventure, despite the recent rain! Keep it coming and write more about your culinary experiences, they have me hanging on for the next one!
Khmer Food! Hi Linda - Welcome to Cambodia and it's good to hear you have a great time!
I came to the US in early 1981 after the genocide and I am planning to return to live in Cambodia next year.
I had to hide in the ship from Sihanoukville Port and end up in Phillipines. Most of my family members were lost during the darkest year between 1979 - 1979.
My home is in the US but my heart is still in Cambodia - Come and visit Cambodia again!

Poor thing! Don't blame you for planning to avoid bikes on historic walls in the future!

BEAUTIFUL BEIJING Looks like Mutianyu Great Wall...good choice, Tiantan, Summer Palace, Beihai, Forbidden City, Tianamen Square...you chose well. Looking forward to your reflections...and more pics.
Love the Photos I love all your photos! It looks like you are having an amazing trip. I suspect you will leave with a bit of regret mixed with relief, to be off to see something new!
Raining in Shanghai The umbrella sellers have a job year round in Shanghai as it rains there quite often. Once summer rolls around the umbrella turns into a sunbrella, meaning Asian woman use them to the the sun off of their skin in order to stay "white" as possible.
Hangzhou I came across your blog as I live in Hangzhou and blog on Travelblog also. We have been back in Hangzhou for 2 weeks now and it seems like weather.com has disappointed us also. But the sun has finally arrived for a few days and then back to rain next week supposedly. YUCK!
Lucky - some of my friends headed out to Hangzhou this weekend and said it was great. I'm counting the days until spring (or heading down south, whichever comes first!)
Love to travel. Have had some amazing trips - planning several future adventures but 2013 is sadly going to be a year I don't get to wonder.
