Hello faitful blog followers / bored friends. Were currently in Ho Chi Minh City, the cool capital of Vietnam (Not the shit capital Hanoi) And its pretty good :) Again were staying in a hotel a little over budget but thats just the way its been the whole time weve been in nam tbh, we just cant resit satellite tv, air con and a mini fridge!! Since weve been here weve been to the same 'italian' restaurant every night and the same street vendor every morning - DairyLee and Pork Baguette! But we have actually got up in the morning and done stuff every day so far which is really cool! So we're back in Da Nang again, we're flying to Saigon/Ho Chi Minh tomorrow evening, and the weather here sucks. The rain isn't easing off and it's just dark all day so our plans to travel along the beaches has gone a little out of the window. We're going to see some viet cong tunnels in Saigon, and maybe a waterpark and then it'll be to cambodia we go. We've got an idea that we might be heading back to Thailand a)for the weather b) becuase you don't get ripped off everywhere and c) there's a full moon party on the 2nd of December! Wellllll, we arrived safely as you can probably tell and we decided that we didn't much like Hanoi! After getting out of the airport we got into a taxi and the man that put us in it decided not to listen to where we wanted to go but to drag us to another place obviously earning him commission. He tried to drop us off stating the address we'd given him and the hotel owner was like "Yep this is hang be" despite the HUUUGE address above his head stating something completely different! We've been here a month now! It goes so quickly! We're back in Bangkok now as we had a little change of plan, we're not going to Laos anymore - we bought flights to Hanoi - Vietnam and leave tomorrow. We just decided we didn't fancy laos too much, we were only going to be there a week in the capital getting our vietnam visas and would have paid $30 for a month visa there. Plus by the time we'd paid for somewhere to stay we can just get ourselves to vietnam a big quicker! Thanks for reminding me to do this Jossie!!! We ended up staying in Chiang Mai for about a week and a half, we met up with Alan and Amelia again and also met an Irish guy called Brian. We all went on a trek together over the mountains in Chiang Mai whcih was amazing! It was real jungle and trekking conditions! The climbs up and down were so steep and in the sun it was horrible but 5hours later we got to our tribe camp where a wash in the river was much needed! We spent the evening around the camp fire singing and drinking local whiskey which is just over 2pounds a bottle! In Chiang Mai now! Stopped in Lopburi - monkey town! They are everywhere...It was scary to walk down the street as they just run along beside you and jump into moving cars and then hop off when they feel like it! They were outside of our hotel window too which was so entertaining, there were a few mums with tiny babies too and they loved oreos! They twisted them, then licked the cream out, then ate the biscuits! Their hands were so gentle! Travelled with Alan and Amelia (the couple we met on the plane) to Phitsanulok, which the lonely planet assured us was full of bars and a good night life, to find it was empty...purely a normal thai town with no need for tourists! and every fly in the world had decided to invade ... read more

Hi everyone! Well finally be leaving bangkok tomorrow morning to go to Khanchanburi - to play with baby tigers at the tiger temple and see some waterfalls and maybe elphant ride!! Going to hire a moped for the day and get ourselves around instead of doing one of the THOUSANDS of tours that "government" companies are offering! Met a cool guy from the Netherlands yesterday and hes going to come with us! Charlie ate a scorpion and a grasshoper whilst me and amelia just settled for some good old pat thai (lots of noddles, eggs and beanshoots) for a very cheap 40p! Hi everyone! In Bangkok and loving it! Stayed in a lovely place with another couple from brighton and we might all be heading north together! Liam - we're getting you an awesome present!!! Charlie got a lovely massage on the street that he didn't ask for! From a 7year old boy!! He gave him kisses and tried to get him to buy roses! Had our fingers "kissed" by loads of fish the idea being a massage?! It's pretty expensive here at the moment and we can't wait to get into the country without all the smug tuktuk drivers and to not being ripped off all the time! Lots of places to buy tailored suits, lots of travel "agents" and lots of street pubs!!! (and massage parlours... :-s ) Ok charlie here, its cool here, errr beer ... read more
