Thursday - the big day! I’ve been looking forward to this since I decided to make this trip. This is why I have been drinking water all week. Liz and I had a wine expert come to the hotel and charter us all through the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley. Our first stop was literally on the side of the road to take a picture of the vinyards growing in the Adelaide Hills. Then we went to a lookout point very high above the city. The termperature was near freezing and it was starting to rain up there, which made the journey even more exciting. Friday - off to Sydney! I was excited that we had an early flight out of Adelaide back to Sydney. The sales meetings were over and now Ron would get the chance to be on vacation and we would get almost a full day on Friday and all day on Saturday to take in one of the world’s most beautiful cities. WRONG! Our flight was delayed, then canceled, then re-scheduled, then canceled again, then consolidated with another flight that had been delayed, canceled and re-scheduled. It was a mess and we spent all day Friday in the Adelaide airport and finally departed around 5:00 that night. The good thing was we were all together and made the best of it.
