| 21st December 2008 Krooza | Fortescue Roadhouse ~ from memory! - From: Crossing the Border and on to 80 Mile Beach (actually over 140 miles long) From our diary notes that we transferred onto the Travelblog pages, we only stopped for an iced coffee there. Obviously it made a lasting impact on us!. We spent the previous night in Karratha and hammered straight through to Exmouth with another brief stop at Nanutarra (where we saw the naked man in 1998, who left me with that unforgettable phrase of "Don't forget to have a beer before the sun goes down!"). So where would I recommend? I guess I would have to say, drive through if you can as I have no alternative to offer. Best wishes, Jack |
