Subduing distress and gree subduing distress and
greed. what does
that have to
do with being
born anew daily?
well, if each day, we look into our very own breath, and subdue it, then aren't we offering ourself the fullness of who we are, and thus negating the need to HAVE anything more, therefore, hopefully, becoming, a whole person, thus, not greedy.
At least I hope that I do that each time I sit for kriya, chanting, nam japa and meditation. I ask that I surrender to this will of mine, to live victoriously, not like I'm winning or someone else is losing, or I'm winning or living loss in myself, much like I do when I compare one with another, it is more like I live in a feeling ova victory, like it feels when my hands reach up to blue and endless air and sky.
On The Road Karl ... like your blog ... I am missing the Tuesday night book study. It was a good group ... your blog speaks volumes ... very nice ... open, in touch and honest. Read your blog back a few entries ... glad you didn't get stuck in Wawa ....
Travel well ...the outer journey, the inner journey and the secret one ...

jealously concerned I'm jealous of what you are doing. I'm also concerned because anything worthy of my jealousy must also involve some degree of difficulty. Rock on K. Your inspiring courageous vibes are missed in TN
I admire you! Thanks for visiting me in the med ctr. I really appreciate the 'Dhammapada roulette' you read. It was very appropriate to the time. I hope you discover even more of the happiness that seems already suffuse your life.

Krazy K visits Minnesota. Krazy K visited me in Minnesota on his way to the retreat. It was a fantastic visit of remembering and catching up. We went over to the local Vietnamese Restaurant and had some Pho and played some guitar afterwards.
Happy Trails Karl. Thanks for visiting Minnesooota.

Hello Karl! Delightful hearing from you. Thanks for adding me to your blog. Will look forward to hearing about your "Happy Trails". Here is a message this morning from the Bowl of Saki by Hazrat Inayat Khan: "The heart aflame becomes the torch on the path of the lover, which lightens his way that leads him to his destination. The pleasures of life are blinding, it is love alone that clears the rust from the heart, the mirror of the soul."
Much love, Lynda
