the smallest church is in the US I am also in Lima and have seen the church you are speaking of, but I know of one smaller... it is in Aurora, West Virginia, USA.... it is in a very rural area of Preston County, near Blackwater Falls and Canaan Valley/ Timberline ski resorts.... if you are ever in the area, you should check it out...
As to the safety of Lima... it isnt the safest, but with some common sense, one should be ok. You have to learn not to be out after dark, dont take the combi buses or the Tiko taxi's.
My husband and I have been here and will be here for a while and are enjoying Lima and the surrounding areas.
I hope you enjoy (or enjoyed) your trip and were able to get some great souviners!!
almost there aww nice to see that you missed me and that the weather is great, cant wait to catch up with you both. But be prepared I have lots of photos to share :)
She's comin', she's comin' home, Tina's comin' home! Did you stratch your itchy feet enough? Sounds like South American soil will do the trick.
But be honest - there are a few things you missed in old Blighty?
It's 17c here with the sun out!
Seeya soon x C
remember me? hey kitcat, hope your still well travelling bolivia and all the other great places. i´m still in quito recieving a lot of babys in that hospital, i´ll send you some pics of my first birth in the next couple of days... sorry they stole your camera but that occasionally happens so don´t worry about it. it´s just a camera, be happy that they didn´t harm you or anything... hugs and kisses from peter (the german guy from posada del maple in quito)
Hi Cat, I've absolutely loved reading your journal. I am teetering on the verge of quitting my job and heading back south right now! Wish we could have travelled more after Galapagos.
Well done on your valiant expedition on the Lares Trek. I will totally sponsor you as shouild everybody else! Sorry you had such a rough time of it. You got some stunning photos though. Hope you were able to save your pics to disc before the bugger in La Paz made off with your camera. Anyway, enjoy the rest of your travels, I am completely jealous!
Jeez Jeez Cat, that altitude sickness sounds pretty hardcore - I think I may have had a taste of it - I got outta bed too quickly yesterday after Andre made me drink all night. Seriously, take care of yourself. Do they have hot Ribena there? I'm a bit suspicious about that Coca tea - you say you're feeling stoned? Your pictures look amazing. Hug a Llama/Tauntaun for me :-)
Breathe shallow I guess its too late to wish you good luck on the Lares Trek.
God girl why couldn't you be into Star Trek like your sister.
Anyhoo, hope you get back safe to read this - otherwise you're not getting anymore e's from me! ;o
dog with hat forget your amazing picutes on beach with real live sea-lions! can't believe you found a picture with a dog with a hat! nice work Cat.
Just so you know work is still the same here - but quieter. take care x
Lima Good luck on the Lares tour! Elena and I are back in Philly ready (or rather unready!) to get back to the grind of work:(
Enjoyed meeting you in the Galapagos. I'll start work on creating a yahoo group over the weekend...bye for now
Greetings from Blighty Hi Cathy,
