So we started our diving the morning of arrival on Koh Tao. Had some school work and went out and did our first dives that afternoon. We practiced slkills such as taking out our regulators and our masks. We dove with 2 Irish girls and a german boy. Then we dove down to about 5 meters and a second dive to 10 meters. That night there was a party down the beach at bubble bar or something like that. You arn't supose to drink but all our instructors were doing it so we just followed suit. We were hanging our with [View Full Entry]

Well Koh Phi Phi was awesome I was sadf to leave. Every night was a new beach party. One place we went had a band who would play any song you wanted on demand. One of the days we spent on a long boat going to koh Phi Phi Lay which is where the beach was filmed. Stopped by Monkey beach which actually wasn't the monkey beach I went to last time, but all the same there were still tons of very agresive monkeys. Who came onto the boat stealing all our bananas. All the while we just sat there screaming [View Full Entry]

So back in in Siem Reap the taxi picked us up nice and early and drove us along the most uncomfortable road I have ever been on for 3 hours. The had put huge culverts in the road but instead of digging the road up and puting them underneath the would just have huge mounds in the middle of the road. Got to the Cambodia Thailand boarder and walked across which was kinda wierd. Turns out we have no other choice but to go to bangkok if we want to go to laos. Of course. So we take a 4 hour [View Full Entry]

I apologize for the title but it is the only title fit for what we have done. SO back to Angkor wat. It was massive. Beautiful. Amazing. Don't know how anyway can build something like that without or even with our modern day tools let alone what they had. We saw some monkeys and they tried to steal stuff. The usual monkey business. hehe. The night of my bday we were all a bit sick but my friends are troopers. we had a nice dinner and went to Angkor What bar for another go. Had a great time, but a late [View Full Entry]

From Ho Chi Minh City we took a bus to Phnom Penh. Our first day we first went to the killing fields and got a little tour. It was very heartbreaking the history, especially considering it was such a short time ago. We then went to a market and bought 100kg of rice a soccer ball and a volley ball and went to an orphanage where we played with the kids for hours. They were wonderful. They kept asking us how old we were hoping we were old enough to adopt them. Unfortunately its a no go, but I'm definitely going [View Full Entry]

So I was little vague on our time in Nha Trang so I'm sitting around waiting for a bus so I thought I would drop a few more details in. Our first night out in Nha Trang we followed Loney Plant books advice to a T. Which worked out great. We met all these people who we became friends with for the next 5 days. The next day we did the mud baths. That night we were invited to a Wii bowling tournament. They didn't see us coming, we bowled the shit outta that place. The last evening I was invited [View Full Entry]

Well in Hoh Chi Manh City we kept it pretty tame. I caught a cold and after our night in Manila we needed some R&R. So it mostly consisted of eating, shopping and getting Spa Treatments, which are always intresting and you never really know what you are going to get. A pedicure later cory ended up with 2 whie big toes, and Shelby and Danielle were beat up in a massage. We left Ho Chi Manh on a night bus. And for those harry potter fans it resembled that great bus with little individual sleeper beds. It was fabulous. Arrivning [View Full Entry]

We finally got a room in Manila. We were all very tired, but I really wanted to go see a couple things around Manila so the other 3 went to sleep and I went off. Walking around Manila by yourself is a whole different story that when we are in a group. Manila is a city full of very poor people mixed with those who are well off with no space in between. At one point walking down a semi-touristy place and then I'm in the middle of a block full of homeless families. Its a whole different kind of homeless [View Full Entry]

So after another insano bus ride we made it to Banaue. These roads make Tofino's seem like a four laned highway. We met a little lady on the bus that took us to a home stay house looking out over the rice terraces. None of us had much sleep so we had some naps and got picked up by a driver to tour us around the rice terraces. We couldn't get to the huge ones in Batad because we have no time. 1 week here is not nearly enough. So we checked out the ones around Banaue. I don't think I [View Full Entry]

Well we found the beach. Turns out it was a 5 minute drive up the road. At the stop we were supose to get off at the previous evening. We stayed at a place called Sebay beach resort right on the ocean. The beach, called La Union is a very popular surfers destination. We got there and the waves were really small so we wanted to wait for bigger. All the local children were surfing and had a little competition. It was so cute. The town is called San Juan and isn't a huge tourist desitnation, we are constantly stared at. [View Full Entry]
