hello Hello stranger! how's it going? are you getting tired of seeing beautiful sights? eating greats foods? meeting cool people? are you ready to come back to work force?
Cambodia I love the pictures - they bring back such great memories. Siem Reap is incredible and Blue Pumpkin is quite the Oasis. I have really enjoyed following your trip so far...have an amazing time in Vietnam.
I enjoyed your post. I have always wanted to go to Kinabalu. My blog is looking for travel photos. If you have the time, email us some at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com or come check us out at dirty-hippies.blogspot.com.
Continued fun on your travels,
Heather
Greetings Kate, I just found the blog and I wanted to drop you a line. I am quite envious of your travels, but I am having fun here in Chicago. The new job is good. I will continue to enjoy your posts. Have fun.
Thank you for joining us on the foodwalk! Hey Kate!
thanks for joining us for the foodwalk! BTW, I think the leftovers which we doggy bagged was in the fridge for over a week! Think we done well that night.
incidentally, our PM actually earns more than S$3mil.... your favourite beef dish during the foodwalk is called Beef Rendang and the shrimp shots are Kueh Pie Tie...
So, whats for dinner?
;-p

bus rides KT,
I have a similar experience over spring break while traveling in Thailand. 7 hour bus ride from hell. the bus driver felt the need to pass cars on the smallest 2 lane highway with great oncoming traffic. It was like a 3d horror movie. then, to your point, the stentch of people and food was overwhelming not to mention the fact that the seats relaxed back so your head was sitting in the person's lap behind you. no way could you get up and move and you had to stare at that person.
My return trip from Ko samui to bankok was a $150 US air plane ticket! no more bus rides for us girlie!!!!
thanks for sharing..

You're way out there Kate, I've enjoyed catching up on your travels. We never blogged and wish we did. It just felt like work sometimes. You've taken some great pics so far and sounds like you had a great eating in Singapore. Keep reading books - that's what I miss most about my island time. Lazy days are sometimes the best days. Good luck on your next stops.
Garrett's? Windy City mix in Singapore? Oh happy day! That's so exciting. Am enjoying reading about your journey - seems like you've really settled into solo travel. Chicago misses you, though!
Finding You... It sounds like you are doing exactly what you wanted to do- I can only imagine how hard the first week might have been. Tons of changes and it is probably all just sinking in... I love the yoga, pool, spa- enjoy every minute. Truly a once in a lifetime experience- we don't get a lot of those anymore (because we are getting old). You aren't missing much in the states- it's starting to feel like spring in Nashville and my brother (Travis) is visiting this weekend. We are going to hit up the Bluebird Cafe which we will have to do when you come to town. Soak it all in! This is all about you and no one else, so absorb every moment!
Glad to see you've met folks Ok, the mom in me is a little relieved to see that you've met some great people (not stalker guys). Please keep up the blog so I can live virtually through your adventures. All the best
Woo-hoo Yay! So glad to see the blog up and running! Also so glad to hear how great of a time you are having...even if the first few days weren't so fun. I could totally get up for a routine of yoga, pool, spa - rinse and repeat....ahhhh! Can't wait for the updates :) And good call on getting out before the town shuts down - why are they even scheduling flights if that is the case?
