G'day cobber Like the pictures lad - half a point for Max, good attempt but one of the fit birds would have been better. How's the old tan coming along then? should be as brown as "Whatever" by the time you get back here. I'll e-mail you a photo of the Tyne Bridge when we get back from Newcastle. The one in SYdney is a scaled-up model of that. Take care son. Favva
Check your e-mails son Sent a few e-mails which you haven't replied to. Don't know if they're getting there or whether you haven't been on Hotmail. Not heard owt since you landed but I noticed you'd logged in on here again so thought you'd also have checked your e-mails. How's Melbourne anyway? Any luck with the Neighbours bints?
Papa
You're half a day ahead of us Funniest blog yet lad. Like your style. Its a bit strange being half a day behind you. You're writing in the middle of the night as far as we are concerned and I suppose its the same for you. Probably on your way to Melbourne now, so let us know when the "Eagle" lands. Papa
Hello Dont know what to write lad cos the Trevster seems to cover every aspect of every place you go. He's been to the olympic stadium did you know? Anyway good blog lad, keep us updated.
Superb photos Could have done it on another journal though lad. Still brilliant though, will make a nice book for the grandkids to look back at. I know, got to get thissen a bird first eh! You must have taken 100's of photos by now, don't lose the bloody thing. Anyway next stop Singapore. Take Care son. Papa
Nar then.... Dachau had a gas chamber although they never used it apparantly. Heard the one in Berlin is meant to be better but don't know if I'm gonna have time. Checked into Heart of Gold hostel, seems alreyt although room is a bit packed. Might have to make to jaunt across town if its not upto scratch! I'll see thi later bud
Newcastle Tickets Glad you mentioned that about newcastle tickets lad, I'm looking into it now, might be worth a visit. Didn't manage the Hofbrauhaus although looked into it. Not had enough time really for Germany, having to squeeze it all in. I'll keep thi posted on things.
Get thi pac-a-mac ready Me again young 'un. If you're getting back to Frankfurt on Thursday night, Eintracht Frankfurt are playing Newcastle in the UEFA Cup. I've looked on the Eintracht website and tickets are 33 euros. Then again, you could watch it on telly and spend the 33 euros on some Brackwurst and lager. Just checked out the Singapore weather for the next 5 days and it's forecast light showers. I suppose that's what you get in the tropics, a quick burst of rain then the sun's back out. Temperature is 29C during the day and 24C at night - a bit different to what you've been getting in Germany. Anyway, remember to text us when you're at Frankfurt airport and when "the Eagle lands" in Singapore and Melbourne. Take care. Papa
Dachau Went there too mate, depressingly awesome int it! There's Sachsenhausen in Berlin, which is a also worth a visit. Cant remember which one of those 2 had a gas chamber, but if it wasnt dachau then you should go to sachsenhausen. Also look for the walking tours in Berlin, otherwise you'll miss out on all the best parts. Some of the sights need pointing out and need an explanation, otherwise its just a building. Where you stayin? Hostel just outside Zoo station which is quality. Cant remember what its called but its a blue and white sign, opposite the battered church and above the shops (and above burger king!). Enjoy!
Re-tracing yer Favva's footsteps As you know lad, I went to the Olympics in 1972 and was there in a crowd of 40,000 for the 400m hurdles semi-fianl. Didn't realise the old Olympic Stadium would still be standing. After building this new stadium, I thought they would have built houses on the old 'un or should that be Hausen. Dachau brings it home how lucky we were not be born in that era, never again, nie wider, plus jamais as the sign on the wall says eh lad. Did you get in the Hofbrauhaus then? It's on two floors and of a weekend there must be over 3,000 people in there. Not be long before you hit the warm weather lad; hope your mobile works in Singapore so you can text us otherwise send us an e-mail. Triple S now (shower, shave and I forget the other) before nipping out to see the mighty Reds take on Southend. Hope it'sbetter than Saturday's game - that was even worse than watching paint dry and was a sure-fire cure for insomnia. Good stories so far, keep up the humourous anectdotes and speak sooin. Papa
Brilliant Photographs Some cracking photos there son, nice to see a picture with the description. Did you take one of the Rialto Bridge and Bridge of Sighs in Venice? Most famous bridges in that neck of the woods. Salzburg looks very nice, I think that's where they made the film "Sound of Music" doh a deer etc. Have you been singing with a lonely goatherd? Not long left before you can chuck the winter woolies away for good. December 1st onwards will be between 25 and 35C depending on where you are - jammy sod.
Anyway, look forward to somemore stories and photo's lad. I'll text the footy results. Take Care. Papa
Amaretto Good lad! knew you'd finally approve of the brown stuff!! sounds like you're having a good time mate. make sure you get ter supermarkets for cheap beer if you cant afford a night on the piss. Me and nick got battered every night for 5 euro each!

Top of the league in r 5-a-side at the minute n all, all is good. Just seen Muse at Sheffield, unbelievable live. Keeping an eye out for audioslave tickets, quality band thaz introduced me to theer. Hope all is well char, keep us updated on places to go and no go areas so I can plan my trip accordingly around your misfortunes. If you get chance get the new nuts (21.11.06 edition), best bird you will ever see inside. bonjourno johnnyboy HiJohn hope you are enjoying Venice, not spending all your pennies there i hope.Got your text, was getting anxious, not heard from you for a couple of days. Job's going okay, early days yet but all the staff seen really nice and they want me to have a go at recruiting so why not give it a go eh! put my communication skills to some use. Managed to get a speeding fine other week, can't believe where i got it, bus stop at Vida entrance what an idiot they are always parked there £60 fine 3 points on licence. There goes new outfit i'd got lined up, tried to win enough at races last Saturday but neither of us are any good at picking winners. To add insult to injury i bumped into someone in a line of traffic, no damage to either car but you can bet they put a claim in, our Asian friends were in the other car!! Not much other news to tell you otherr than it's bloody freezing here this week, hope it's warmer where you are. Look after yourself John, speak to you soon. Love Mum XXX
When in Rome Thanks for the update lad - sounds like you're whizzing around a bit quickly. There's a lot to see in Rome so take your time otherwise you'll be absolutely knackered. Trevi Fountain looks good when it's lit up a night - should get a decent photograph there. The tradition is to make a wish as you lob three coins over your shoulder into the water. Don't know if that's a real tradition or whether it just stems from the Frank Sinatra film which was called strangely enough "Three Coins in a Fountain". Trastevere night be worth a visit at night, that's where all the locals eat 'cos the prices are not as extortionate. SPend a few bob to go into the Vatican Museum. Untold wealth, art and the systine chapel at the very end - you can spend hours in there. Looks like Siena didn't tickle your fancy so much - may be the time of year but in summer it's buzzing, you'll have to so it all again in the summer time lad. Anyway look forward to your next blog. Take care. Papa
Nar then.... Thanks for the comments folks. I'll try and whip some photos on, trouble is half of these internet cafe's won't let you do it. Pain in the arse! Anyway, hope everyone's having fun....I'll get a new blog posted shortly.....ciao
