What fun! Wow - sounds like you guys are continuing to have an amazing adventure! Enjoy your last two weeks in Darwin then hurry home! Can't wait to see you both!
Sorry I know Joe said there were 5 steps to his beard shaving, I only posted 4... I guess we should have communicated a bit better.. :)
The 2nd stage was a gottee, which made me think he was an NHL player or something.
I'm still glad I'd already gone to work when he did this...
So jealous! Hey there you little "Melbournites"
I am sooo jealous! hhaha...what I would give to spend a year traveling around Australia!! One day!! You both look great--Joe, I agree with Carolyn, the beard, not so much:) haha! Hope all is well and looking forward to seeing you soon!
Good to hear that you're enjoying melbourne! Great city! Joel' jealous of your footy game, he is trying to figure out if he should play over here. Even his team from Hamilton has started up and his Geelong team is missing him, as he is them. If you want to supply teach contact SOS $210 a day! Staffing Organisation services, look them up. Have a blast!
Cheers big ears
St. Paddy's Day Just wanted to thank you for honouring my day! Very good, very good. 56min 5km swim is amazing fast! I'm lucky to swim that in less than 2 hours man. Cheers

Feelin' hot hot hot! I can almost feel the Outback heat from my desk in Oakville! Woo-ee! Next time you run across one of those internet hot spots, give me a shout, and I'll make sure you hate me in the morning! Keep on rockin'!
Phewf Yikes...I cant' believe the roads you were driving through and how sick Betsy was! Hope all is going much better in the Outback! Miss you guys! Love C+M
You are welcome Hey you 2-
Life sure is quiet without you. We are glad you enjoyed your time here in New Zealand, can't wait for the day to come when we are all back in Canada..somewhere...sometime?!?!
We are enjoying the humid weather here, no rain and lots of sun shine, but I am sure the OZ weather will get over here soon....rain I mean.
love you both
Oh what memories Hi Guys
Great to read of your trip around NZ. Love the photos. They bring back memories and make me just a touch home sick as I sit here in Kitchener, Ontario watching the snow building up outside :-)
Don't forget to try marmite on toast for breakfast before you leave there... or maybe that's just a Kiwi thing cause everyone here at the JHS office laughs at me eating my toast for breakfast in the morning.
Looking forward to your next update

Wow! Holy Cow, Carolyn I was so scared for you watching that video! I don't know how you managed to gather the courage, but as they say here in Perth... Good on ya!
AWESOME! Hi Joe and Carolyn: I continue to enjoy your odyssey and recommend it to everyone, particularly while you are young and can climb mountains and generally "rough it', as we used to say.
I have taken the opportunity to share your blog address with a colleague from work, a native New Zealander, in the fullest meaning. I know that you will welcome her comments (and directions to good pubs and cameraderie) as you progress along.
Cheers and happy travels! John
Awesome Awesome guys, simply awesome. The video's of the bungee jumps are classic, particualrly the blood curdling scream eminating from Carolyn's lower intestine! Keep on enjoying and documenting it for the rest of us!
Bungy jump Carolyn,
You are very brave. I can't believe you jumped, way to go!!
Your pictures are awesome. I love reading all about your adventures. Right now mine consist of how many diapers I am changing per day and what each one consists of:) I guess our lives are a little different, but no less exciting:)
Can't wait for the next entry.
Angie
