I remember that we had cashew nut ice cream on pub street in siem reap...it was delicious. I kept the cards of my favourite food places and places we slept over to recommend to people and always forget until i find them again after doing a clean. Its sounds like you have almost finished the indochinaloop, so no good me telling you this now. Did you go to the restaurant 'friends' when you were in Phon penn??
I also went to malaka, i spent 3 nights there, it was way to long ( i think i was ready to come home at this point, it was the end of my trip). I stayed on the street with the market, great hostel, felt like a hotel and i got lots of nice things from the market.
Luang probang was my favourite destination of our travels. Possibley because it was the first place we stopped for more than one night and the first point of my trip i could eat ( i stopped feeling sick). That slow boat was incredibley slow!!! I see from the pictures you got a decent seat tho.
Hi,
Love the photos, keep them coming! You two look like you are having a great time. I hope you make your way over to the US some day so we can meet Mark:) Stay safe xoxoxo
Hey Guys. Awesome pictures! I particularly like your face on the second pic Joanna!! ha ha! Nearly Christmas - we will miss you in 'the village' (!) this year and I'll be thinking of you and your alternative Christmas this year. I saw your mum the other day, she looks really well and it was lovely to see her - i'm hoping to pop in and see the family over the festive period. Really great to hear all your news - you're being very good regularly updating your blog! Much much love xxx

Hello from cousin in Law.... Hi Jo,
It's Donna, Mark Johnson's wife. Ann and Miles told me about your adventures in my home country of Laos and Thailand. It sounds so exciting!! We had hoped to visit this year, but Mark misplaced my citizenship papers and that will be an adventure in itself. I can't wait to see pictures of your trip. I know it's been years since we met, but I hope you come to Oregon again soon.
happy adventuring! Donna and Mark
Hellooooo Cousin! Hey Jo,
Hello from Oregon! It sounds like you two are seeing some awesome stuff but I can't believe you went looking for spiders. Watch out for those grasshoppers and food poisoning! Love to you both and stay safe.
Hey Guys
Sounds awesome - will have to resort to getting my world map out soon to figure out where you are - my geography is rubbish!!!! Glad you're having an amazing time, seeing mind blowing sites and meeting lovely people? Hope you're not getting eaten alive too often!!
Much love xx
you HELD scorpion spiders? you actually, by choice, HELD spiders? you HELD them? why would you do such a thing?
you went LOOKING for tarantulas? you chose to bring yourselves into close proximity with them? you LOOKED for them?
why would you do such things? WHY?
there was a large spider in the shower in the corner of a consulting room at the cottage hospital today (not entirely sure why there was a shower there at all) and i could barely concentrate on the consultation cos i was so busy keeping an eye on it in case it found its way out and attacked me.
DONT GO LOOKING FOR SPIDERS IT'S A SILLY THING TO DO. xxx
Hi from Geneva! Hi you two!
Just found your travel blog on google, it's the first thing that turns up when looking for "Mark Joana travel blog"!!!
I'm really happy for the two of you, it all sounds really good. I have just come back from South America. I took my parents for a week to Santiago, Patagonia and Buenos Aires. It was very nice, very cold and snowy in Patagonia and we rented a 4x4 jeep for three days. I now have a better idea of what it's like to drive on those rough roads. We also landed in Balmaceda from where we might leave from in April! It's surreal, completely empty, slightly grassy with a few sheep and absolutely no trees. I've already booked my holidays and we'll keep you updated about our travel plans.
I really hope you continue enjoying your trip. Tell Mark to keep the snakes in Asia as I'm really scared of them!!!
Thomas
Cool!! Hi dudes! I love the travel blog...why didn't I know about that when I went travelling?! I'm now going to become your official stalker! (Sorry if I'm scaring you!) Glad you're having a great time and that you like Libra Guesthouse. I wonder if the cookery course will be the same? So funny to think of you staying there and doing the same things that I did nearly 3 years ago. Take care and have lots of fun. Lots of love, Jen xxx
keywords! Sounds great so far! Words that mums pick up on are 'badly bitten', 'sharks' and 'leeches' - altho thankfully the 1st does not relate to the others! I will be watching out for other 'keywords' over the months - I'm sure there will be quite a list! Altho hopefully you will be a lot safer than I was in Spain!
Making me feel jealous I first read your entry when sitting in my office in London. Outside it was cold and overcast. I'm now constructing a reply while sitting in the kitchen looking the torrential rain pounding against the windows - and this isn't the warm rain you experience in the tropics, this is the very wet stuff that makes you cold to the bone - hence the the title of my entry. Not to worry though, you sound like you're having a wonderful time and long may it continue. Where you off to next? Kids and Katy say hello. Be safe and enjoy xxx
Wow dudes Hello! I am very fortunate to the first to comment on yr first blog from miles away.... It's only because I am at home and so am doing a little web surfing! Too much time on my hands today. It seems you have only been there 5 minutes and by the sound of it have already had some lovely experiences. You are both so brave! I really wish you both well and when you cross my mind, I will send up a prayer or two. What a fabulous opportunity. You'll both be all the richer for it I am sure. I shall peep at yr blog every now and then to keep in touch.
Went to see your family for a couple of days at half term. What a brick your mum is eh? Peter was on form and Amy was just fab. Boris was beautifully smelly.
Take care of each other! We all send you our love from Market Harborough. Jools xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
