Nairobi hints I spent a few days in Nairobi on my own and loved it. Definitely visit the Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Manor. The best part (as always) is the people, but you do have to be careful there--Nairobi can be a bit overwhelming. I'm also not sure if you're read or seen "Out of Africa", but Karen Blixen's place is worth it if you have.
You've done such amazing things during your time in Africa--cherish every minute and continue to use what you've learned in the future. The world is lucky to have people like you who care so much and are willing to try to make a difference.
Your family and Nate will be so excited to have you home!
Malaria and playing hard! Wow Jenny! I can't belive that you have been through so much in such a short time! I'm so glad that you are feeling better again, and ready to finish the journey that you began. I know that everyone here will be glad to have you back, but you are getting an experience of a lifetime! We are keeping Nate busy with Colts football on Sundays. Take care and we'll see you soon!
HAHAHAHA! "THIS weekend was WOW. REALLY the COOLEST thing i have EVER done. i know i'm not that cool...but you will think i am after i tell you what i got to do. =) hehe... "

Hugs and Kisses!
Kristi

this must be the trip of a lifetime! after kissing giraffes, do you really think you can go back to poor old nate? lol hope you have a great rest of your trip and be safe!
Me too! I did the exact same rapids! (Well, I'm pretty sure.) Wasn't it amazing to watch the guys in the kayaks go so fast? We are so lucky to be able to have those experiences. We had one guy in our group get sick from swallowing the river water when we went under and he had to go to a hospital in Kampala for a couple of days...but he made it back to us!
(I just found your blog, so it might take me awhile to get through all your messages and comment on everything. :) I'm so glad you're doing well and enjoying yourself. I'm sure you miss Nate and your family--I'm sure they miss you--but it will all be over so quickly.)
Sounds amazing I'm so glad you are having a good time Jenny! Nate told me the other night that you went white water rafting on the Nile! How cool is that! I'm so excited that you get to experience all of it! I definately miss you! (Especially this weekend being in B-town and it was just me and all the guys...I didn't have my partner in crime!:) Take care and learn lots over there! LOVE YOU!
WOW! WOW Jenny! Your postings sound like something out of a movie! I cannot believe how many awesome experiences you are having day after day after day! I am SO happy for you! I'm not going to lie, your story about white water rafting sounds pretty dang scary, but so exciting at the same time. And what a fun way to spend Halloween! That is a halloween that will be hard to top, that's for sure! Jake and I dressed up as bikers with tattaoo sleeves on both arms and on our upper bodies. We looked pretty hard. Haha! I'll send you pictures. Ok, I better get to work now. Keep on blogging! :) I hope you're doing well and I miss you and be safe! Love you dear!
Chance of a life time Dear Jenny,
What an experience this is for you. Take it all in and let it become a beautiful memory. I'm sure there are lots of sites you will not wish to remember but this is the way of our world. People do what they must to survive every day, all over the world.
I wish you a safe trip home and God Bless,
love you,
Deb Hedrick
