Now I cannot open the MSN page, not only me, everyone in China. It actually opens as "msn.cn", yes Chinese MSN page, and worst thing is that I cannot even go to other langauge of MSN page. Even I do, click the "USA", it comes back to MSN.CN. It doesn't let me go to English page or whatever other langauge. Luckily, I can check hotmail. If you find a way to solve this, please let me know. Thanks... read more

I have been planning my trip to Malaysia, I have alreay got flight tickets I am ready to go, but I have heard of the news about Borneo earthquake last week. I am not clibming the Mt.Kinabalu, but I will stay at the park right foot of the Mt. According to the lodge I am going to stay, there is not issue for my visit, no damage at their place. I believe that I will be fine, but what I am thinking about is that "September 3rd, 2015"---the end of the earth?? It's really strange that many earthquakes and volcanos are happening around the world this year. So many unpredictable events are happening. It's rare that an earthquake happens in Malaysia anyway. So we must be really careful wherever we go. Actually there is no worry ... read more

Since last week, the weather became very comfortable, warm and cozy. I guess freezing winter is gone. Here Shanghai is now good to travel, flowers are glooming, don't need thick jacket, NO DOWN COAT!! Uniqlo's Ultra Light Down might be good. Check it out the their biggest Uniqlo at South Shaxi. In this kind of weather, I will love to go a cafe, but I love my "own cafe", looking down the city from my window. I have tried some cakes in Shanghai, local bakery, Starbacks...but I think McCafe is the best. After 5 pm weekdays, cakes are half price. Chinese McDonald's are not bad. I did try locals foods, but I love pizza, bargers, Oh Yea, Subways and Carl's Jr. are good. You can find Carl's Jr. at Raffels City near Peoples' Sq.... read more

In most of Asian countries, people cellebrate the Spring/Chinese New Year. As my experience in Malaysia, I was totally stocked at the border in between Singapore and Malaysia due to traffic, I stayed home. During this time, Chinese people on the earth--they travel. That means, all transportations will be booked, hotels are full, airport and train stations are over-crowded. So this year, I stayed home. Fireworks were quite noisy, but it was better than Indian party. The first 3 days, I didn't see many poeople outside. Peaceful. After that, became weekday, started seeing people coming back to city. Maybe coming from other cities, looks so unfashionable, impatient, impolite. I didn't have much chance to walk around, but at least i went to see the tower.... read more

They sell good vegitables and fruits too, not only frogs and wierd animals. Buying foods in China is quite difficult because Chinese products sucks, but local veggies and fruits are good. Communication is hard, but I just point out what I want, and I just learned how to count numbers in Chinese. That's enough.... read more
