hi from linda - From: Nepal - Everything we'd hoped and so much more!
Nepal continues to go through more political changes since you left. Fuel shortages are lining the streets with cars waiting for 5 to 7 liters of precious petrol. More strikes in eastern Terai are closing roads and stopping projects. Nawang is growing by leaps and bounds, almost 45 pounds. We jog a mile every morning at the American Club to avoid the local canine territorial fights every 15 feet on the road. I'm heading to the States for 3 weeks then to Scotland for vacation with my daughter for 4 weeks. Great reading your blog-and seeing the photos!- hope work is going well for both of you--take care, linda

THATS AMAZING !!! - From: A Small Bite of the Big Apple (and other slices of the USA!)
I committed myself and actually read the entire thing ... which was no simple feat!! but its hard not to read when you a reporting items such as chopper rides over the canyon, seeing deer and chipmonks in yosmite park, rubbing shoulders with celebrities(ben stiller and will ferrell are two of my all time favorites) .. meeting cheerlaeders and being wrapped up in the "sex and gambling" of vegas. What an amazing two weeks...it makes america not sound so bad!! It great to see you living it up and cant wait to hear all about it when you return to OZ... stay safe and keep smiling Michael :)

I'm looking at your pictures of the royal mile and edinburgh castle and it brings back some awesome memories.... the picture you have looking towards the castle of the royal mile skyline... Lou Hopey and I lived just to the left of those first few white cottage style houses there.... walking home from work each day was like walking into a fairy tale book... you could easily imagine rapunzel staring out the wiindow or the shining knights on white horses riding along!! I hiked the west highland way from Glasgow to Fort William.... Scotland was so beautiful...... one of the places I'd actually go back to see again! Glad you made it there guys... Talk to you soon Love Ally

P.S. let us know the one thing that your craving the most and we'll post it over for you.... for me it was cherry ripes which I hardly ever eat in Australia, go figure and capilano honey, because it was thick and not like water... smiles and sunshine and candy cane filled merry christmas wishes Ally
