Rugby French - From: renovation and rugby . . .
Good to hear that there's life at your end! Are there specific french rugby terms or is it like le golf, where it's just English/American word imports? Are you going to have special coaching to keep up with the sledging? love Lucy xxx

Rugby & housey stuff - From: renovation and rugby . . .
Hi guys, nice to hear from you, sounds like you are making good progress with the home, all be it dominated somewhat by the weather, which has not been much better here, lots of flooding at the moment again. Glad to hear that your ribs have healed and that you can now get stuck into a game. Believe it or not our Sophie is now playing rugby and prefers it to football, came home Monday night, head to toe in mud, I think she just likes to dive in it! She still plays Lacrosse / netball and anything else she can put her name down for. She is off to USA on a 10 day Lacrosse tour in April; she gonna be 16! in April!!. Chris is well into his University course now Classic History & Archaeology; luvs it. We are off to Italy this summer hope to go see Mount Vesuvius & Pompeii and chill out on the beach, can't wait. Take care lol Heidi, Andy CJ & Soph

Honisetts - From: Leaving France …..
Hello Christel, Thanks for your comment. You are indeed right, this is a beautiful part of France with much going for it. We are not far from Mournex and I drive through it on my way to the airport to pick up friends. We also stayed in Navarrenx for 3 months last year whilst looking. We are now in our house and have started all the decorating and quoting for work - i think it will be a little while yet before we get out business up and running, however in the meantime were working hard and integrating well with the locals! I hope that when you settle here the summer you will enjoy it as much as we do. All the best Ben & Helen Honisett

CONGRATULATION - From: Leaving France …..
How interesting to read your journal. I bought a lake with cabin near Mourenx exactly one year ago and from next year on, when I retire, I will live there for the whole summer. I hope your paperwork will finish soon and you will also live near Navarrenx and Mourenx, it is just so beautiful there. In Mourenx on the market is a man who sells home made wine.......you MUST try it !!! Also the chocolate factory LINDT is in OLERONE, a very beautiful drive there and lovely town. Good luck with everything, I am off to my lake on 30.May for 2 months. Lucky me Christel

Isnt it funney that you can go anywhere in the world and still find familiar faces. That happened to Andy and I on our honeymoon - bumped into an ex boyfiriend; that was 21 years ago now. We wish you all the luck in the world on your venture, it looks like it is all coming along nicely. Lots of hard work but loads of fun on the way. Sounds like you picked the perfect location with a wonderful community to share it with too. until next time Love Hx

Admiration mixed with envy!!! - From: were back!!!!!!!!!!
Glad to know you are enjoying the experience and great to read all about it even if it is all a bit upsetting - envy is a terrible thing. Don't know why you were sorry to leave us Ben - it all sounds a glorious adventure. But then I don't have to cope with the frustrations of French bureaucracy and their taste in interior design. Although I suppose lunchtime "vin compris" eases even those pains! Keep the blogs coming - they are being read and enjoyed. Good luck in the Bar des Sports during the World Cup...

Envy (in spades) - From: Footloose and fancy-free en France
I've only just found travel blog! Talk about techno illiterate! Great to hear all your news and to hear that you're still enthusiastic. I like the sound of the area very much. You're well out of the UK weather-wise - May has been dreadful, so please no more comments about the blazing sun. Julia and I have both got part time jobs at a narrow boat hire marina in the next village. She runs the shop and reception whilst I help turn the boats around. Keep the news coming - much love and encouragement.

Hi guys, you're commentry is very entertaining. Had to just drop a line, to congratulate you on the site. Where is the property pictures? Both myself and Fluey bought tents, but unlike you we are suddenly inundated with rain. Hoping to see it pitched at some point this summer. Did you get close to a bull in Pamplona, or is that just fiction. How was the drive over the mountains? Were with you there in spirit and admire your sense of adventure. Good luck with your search. does habitable include piping? - From: Tapas and Torros
yeah, get back to the task and stop having fun. it's nauseating hearing of all your freedom and the prospect of gorgeous french cottages as i trawl around hackney preparing to do up a wreck of a flat surrounded by questionable neighbours that will probably remove all the copper piping as soon as i turn my back. does habitable include piping? Will.

Ah, it's all a fiendish plot. The cheese eating surrender monkeys are fattening you up to become.........oh no......fois gras de Honisett, a rare but much sought after delicacy. Sounds as if you're having a grand time and we know what you mean about always intending to order salad but never getting round to it. We've been doing that for thirty years,as you can tell from our combined girthssssssssss. Hear the house hunting is going well. Keep the blogs coming. LOL xxx

Crafty Raft Race - From: Grand maison of the village - Habitable!
Bank holiday weekend here wasn't too bad, stayed dry for the 'Crafty Raft Race', big plus for those taking part, 'cause that canal is freezing. Took part a couple of times, worked for Sainsbury at the time we were 'the secret lemonade drinkers'; did get to the finish just in the nick of time b4 the craft, made of lemonade bottles fell apart!! Can't believe its May already - Chris got his first set of A levels coming up and Sophie in the thick of her year 9 exams. Andy and I been painting our house from top to toe. Spring clean and all that. Coming along nicely. We have stayed in some lovely Gites and camp sites in Brittany and along the Atlantic coast; we really enjoyed France. Give it a few more years and Andy and I will take a longer break and tour Europe in our car stopping off were ever we fancy and bike around. Good luck in the search 'pour votre maison'.
