Cowabunga, is that Africaan? That was a lovely description, Diana.
I can fully understand the wonder and wow you experienced. You and Don sure know how to do it up and are soooo very fortunate to have had Martin as your guide.
Maybe we will catch one of his tours someday.
Thanks for sending this and really enjoyed your photos too.
Helen xx
Again, we are green with envy here, trip of a lifetime. Say hi to the gorillas for us and don't even think about home for at least two more weeks...
PS: We're going to Toronto in a week everyone, that should be kinda cool eh? NOT!
It's a wonderful world! We are so very interested in knowing all about your adventure and we are getting great insight so far. You are very lucky having Martin with you. We are off on holiday ourselves for 2 weeks but not nearly as exciting as yours. We will miss our Cooper but look forward, as do yourselves, to see the changes when we return. Can't wait to hear all about the rest of the trip. Safari onnnnnn!
Hugs to Don and Martin. xx
We're jealous Geez, you're at it again. Good luck over there and hope you have a safe and easy journey. Looking forward to hearing all about it. Nice post on Amsterdam. Say Hi to Martin for us.
Holland isnt schvenigen a nice place. If i knew you were thinking of going there I would have hooked you up with friends who live there. Thats where I stayed last January. We just got your blog so you are already with Smarty. I hope you are having lots of fun.
World Class Travelers Well, you two certainly have become that....World Class Travelers that is. Good on ya both. The stories and pics are amazing, as is the fact you are actually experiencing all this as we speak.
The blog site is terrific, wish we had known about it during our recent trip. Keep em coming, and say hi to all at P and P's place.
Marrakech Express Wow... great pics. They really bring back memories of our trip there. The Tannery / Volubulis / spice stalls. So cool. Makes we want to plan another trip there and head back. I hope that you survived a chilly night in the desert! Did you check your shoes for scorpions in the morning!! Did Don stop to buy any fossils on that drive over the High Atlas. Perhaps you will spend your whole time in Marrakech lost in the medina... and we won't hear from you until Essaouira. Yikes!! The UK is just around the corner... exciting and sad.... as the 'culture shock' will be gone.... as will the warm weather. love m
Hi DiDo, These travel blogs are brilliant and I have just realized, after reading the family comments, that I can reply. So glad you are having a good time. Spain is special.
We got the bronze medal in Calgary!! The chorus is sooo excited. Today is Sunday, our walking day, with liquid sunshine, so lucky you basking in real sunshine sipping coffee on outside patios.
Looking foward to your Morocco adventures.
'Maroc Typique' hmmm.... so perhaps by now you have bought your first carpet... fought off your first vendor.... eaten your first tajine... wandered your first souk... sampled your first mint tea....and heard your first call to prayer. Ramadan has just come to an end... so the locals will be a bit more relaxed... lass uptight... and well fed by the time you arrive. I just hope that you love Morocco as much as we did. Spain will be tough to beat, but Morocco is a different world. Keep having fun. love m
good to get your blog ( now I know what a blog is !!) sounds like a great holiday -- I've always thought Spain would be a good place to spend the winter -- wonder what the weather would be like -- I guess we son't be seeing you in Devon - can't get George to make it and I don't feel like coming on my own -- but give all our love -lots of love to you both -- cissy
Wow... Sounds just perfect right about now!! I think that I could handle that for a month or so... perfect lifestlye and environment. Yes.. time does fly. So glad to see that you are having fun... and are truly into the swing of things.
Well, well, well, what to do, what to do? To blog or not to blog, that is the question. In July 2010 I lost my life partner and good travel buddy Don. Together we had some amazing adventures and I was pretty sure that after he died that would be the end of adventure travel for me. I just couldn't imagine tackling far flung places without him. Buuuut, you know what, my love of travel won out and I am off again.
For my first adventure without Don, I am travelling with my daughter-in-law's dad, Klaus. He lost his wife at the same time as I lost Don. India was a country he had always wanted to... full info
