Some of you explained that more photos of us travellers would be nice - Thanks for the feedback - we will try to make and upload more pictures with ourselves on them! However, please understand that most of the time we are really excited about the beuatiful landscape in New Zealand and this feeling often lasts until we sit in front of a computer watching the fotos. Therefore we tend to upload many pictures of landscapes as we like it so much. So this Blog entry starts with a lot of landscape pics as well, as the ride from Dunedin to Queenstown was really nice - again ;). As Queenstown is the adrenaline capital and the city flair triggers everybody to do some exciting activities some of our bungy jumping and rafting pics are provided. However ... read more

After our visit at Mt. Cook we went back to Oamaru, which is at the Pacific Coast. From there we went south to Dunedin, a 100,000 student city. We visited the great Rugby match, that caused shortage of accomodation. In the evening we experienced the nightlife in Dunedin, which offers many opportunities like "Pop Club" - a rather uninspired name, but a very nice club. Two floors, one was outside, just in a side street - nice idea. The DJ was playing soulful house and techno music the whole night long and we enjoyed dancing very much! Our next way takes us to Queenstown - the World's Adrenaline Capital ;)... More information, videos and photos to be provided in the next blog entry... :) Best wishes HenC... read more

After less than one week in New Zealand we can only say, it's amazing, stunning, incredible, whatever, it's difficult to find the right words if there are any! We started in the nice city Christchurch, where we spent 2 days, and continued our travels to Banks Peninsula to spend the night at Akaroa. Over the Road 72 we went up to Lake Tekapo, Lake Pukaki and Aoraki Mt. Cook Village, where we spent the night at the modest but nice Unwin Lodge. Every now and then we stop in order to enjoy the wonderful views into the diversified landscape. Some might say the landscape just looks like it does in our home country Austria, which is really wonderful as well. And somehow they are right, but in New Zealand you just drive on for a few ... read more
