Veles I loved those pix....I lived in Titov Veles for a year waiting on my ex-husband's visit. We were a 5 minute walk from that hotel in old town near the old railroad bridge. the one picture you have of the Vardar....we used to sit directly across from those houses! her landlady looks like my husband's cousins' wife! And I know that bean dish...my mother in law used to make it in out woodstove. We lived on Kukuska 26...I think it's been torn down now. I have been to Ohrid many times and we camped there on the lake for close to a week; it's lovely. I was married in the town centre in front of a giant picture of Tito....when he was still in favor. It's a lovely town and I even have pictures of us swimming in the Vardar before it got too polluted(my ex said never go in the water after 4pm as that's when they dump the effluent from the American factory. Great pictures and yes; great people!

very jealous You two make me want to put on my backpack and go somewhere hot, cultural and densely populated with small people.
Happy to hear the second stomach wound is healing Dan, u'll have to make up a good story... rescuing Heidi who was captured by tribesmen in the cambodian jungle... or something of that nature.
Arrived! hi guys, they have arrived safe and sound -picked them up a couple of hours ago. I think Archie was happier to see them than he was me!! Well done on the shopping Heids! Mum could almost start up a shop!! Rest up those abs D, happy travels......make the most of the cheap accommodation before europe xx

Love your Blog We are so enjoying reading about your adventure. What you are doing is amazing. The pictures are great. Have a great time. Can't wait to read the next new entry. Take care.
Love the blogs I finally got caught up on all the blogs and pictures.......I wish I was with you! You are traveling the way I love to travel. Meeting and talking to everyone.....a wonderful worldly and cultural experience...I wish all Americans could visit Vietnam........lessons.......learning......love.....and.......a new life. It is amazing all the wars that have been fought and thousands of lives wasted in arguements over power, politics, religion, oil, and money!
Both of you are great Ambassadors for the world!
Love,
Dad
My Favorite This has been my favorite blog so far. What a wonderful experience. I wish I could have been with you. It looks beautiful and the children are precious! Jelly legs for Heid - then I wouldn't have made it. Thank you for sharing the adventure!! Love you.
Hey! Dan I love this blog you should write them more often, not that I don't love yours Heidi. The soccer games here are insane. When Germany won the other night I was in Kassel and all the roads were blocked off with drunks. People here are from all over so there is a lot of compitition going on. It is cool to be here though. If you want any thing with world cup on it let me know because it is all over. Love you guys. Miss you a ton!!!
xoxo!!
Fashion Diva! Hello Heidi and Dan! I am thoroughly enjoying your blogs.
You know, this is inspiring Chris and I to take off and be beach bums. Seriously.
Everything from the views, to the bars.....maybe not the barf :) - hope you are feeling better, Dan! Love the coats- and the expressions while wearing the coats. :) Glad to see you both healthy and silly.
