Re: Finally in Africa..........
Very cool Cool pics!! I saw a Bullhead whale today as well. But yours look much happier. The one I saw was part of a native whale hunt in Prudoe Bay. Yikes !! If you see any stingrays, look but don't touch!!
a couple of tears WOW. I am so impressed. Feeling quite emotionally actually. Heidi...you are such a good writer and NO, I beleive we can see JUST what your saying about your new friend Howard. My comments will include your last blog (not just the whales). Whales are awesome. I can't wait to read more about your trip. I feel like I'm submersed into a great novel that I can't put down. Above all I am so proud of you and Jordan. You are doing amazing things and I love that I get to share in it....just a bit. May the universe be kind to you all the way.
Miss you guys SO MUCH!!! Incredible to hear from Jordan! Your pictures are gorgeous and I can tell you and Jordan are making the most of your adventure. Can't wait to see and hear more!!! MISS YOU!

Phew! What a first day! Enjoyed reading your first day adventure. Looking forward to many more. The cow worried me! No room at the house for her. Wellllllllllllll maybe? Nosebleed! Could be because of the high altitude? What a day, yuk , incredible! Thinking of you both. Good luck and may God hold you both in the palm of his hand on your road to your dream.
Gutsy I enjoyed your very descriptive letter - what fun, and what a great feeling to not know exactly where your instincts will lead you next. That is the true spirit of adventure - Good luck to you both - I look forward to the next installment.
In the beginning August 24th 2006
...was exhaustion, excitement and maybe a little bit of culture shock. Thinking about you two and look forward to hearing your adventures.

Your fascinating travels Hi Heide, I may have met you once many years ago, I'm Holly's aunt on her father's side, and I'm utterly captured by fine sense of adventure - it's something that I would have done, had I thought of it when I was oh-so-much younger. Even now, I would love to fly over and meet you in one of your exotic destinations for a short stay (if you would allow me) - Unfortunately, my husband is currently in home-care, and I don't know if I could leave him - it's too early to tell. My nephew (from my other brother) has just moved from Bankok to Shanghai - bummer, that would have been a great opportunity. I'm especially entranced with the early part of your itenerary. What a wonderful education and experience your providing for Jordan - he's a very fortunate boy to have a mom with your spirit. Good luck,
Hugs and happy wishes to you and Jordan,
Tania Batten (nee Hurmuses)

Hey guys......
It's June 15th and I am back in Kathmandu, we just arrived back from Pokhara where we did our long awaited 50km trek through the Himalayas. It was incredible, the experience of a lifetime. The monsoon season just started and there have been some really fantastic storms.....thunder so loud it shakes the buildings and jolts you from your peaceful sleep in the middle of the night. I love it. We are just kind of hanging out, day to day life and waiting to go to India....India - where it hit 50 degrees the other day!! You might say we are crazy but we are planning on headin... full info
