Bunny Chow 2 years on and I still can't forget how nice Bunny Chow tastes. I guess I'll have to go back and hunt down Patels if I ever go back to Durban...
Lion Orphanage Hi. My name is Mette, and I am also travelling around Africa. I was just wondering if you could give my a little information about this Lion Orphanage. Were is it? I mean how near Victoria Falls is it? And can you come and visit just for a day? Hope I hear from you soon! Thanks :) *Mette Foldager from Denmark
Bunny Chow
Bunny Chow was always a vegetarian curry and was sold at Patels Restaurant/ Take Away in Grey Street which is still family owned and in the early days it was the cheapest meal available
arre yaar.....jungle ka sher! hi bro! greetings from Msia....had to check out the pics of da cub u were talking about.....one shot looked like u were going to be mauled in seconds....exciting stuff.....keep in touch yaar
UNLUCKY it was boring because you came at a bad time.you should went around easter or christimas some type of holiday you would seen alot more action than you would think
Re Thanks For The Blog... Thank you, but I don't think that having guts is a wise thing. It is safer to listen to what people like hotel staff have to say and then decide what to do, in that way I took all the help I could get.
As for Africa stealing your heart. I understand. A day doesn't go by with out me thinking about my tiume there...
Thanks for the Blog You have guts, my trip to Africa was Zimbabwe, and I needed help all the way. I couldn't do anything for self. Anyway Africa stole my heart. Your lucky, I wish more young people would travel to Africa. I hope you get chance to go further south next time.
that is my home. you were in the middle of no where, it was great the way you captured the real feeling of the town. I hope that you had a great time there. I miss is to much.
I have had better days Hello, thats probably not the best photo of me on earth but you get the idea, we're brothers so we look alike! I would like to add that I spent 'some' money getting my Big Bro to the real roof of Africa AND that among the stuff that he sent home were also the oldest, foulest most horrific pair of flip flops that I have ever had the experience of touching, needless to say we store them in the shed waiting for the golden child to return and decide that the are to be JUNKED! Now make contact, bye.
hi finally reading this stuff: small giraffes = gerinuk (not sure of spelling). Pictures brilliant much better than my brown dots or black dots that i claim to be impala and gerinuk. do send me come when you can.
Awesome Awesome photo's mate - either you have a very good zoom on your camera or you got bloody close - looking forward to hearing about your travels when you get back
Bartering I think you will have a huge shock when you get back in the UK and have you will not have to barter to get your chicken burger from PFC or haggle over the DVD's from Blockbuster.
I can hear the phone calls now, I'll say I'll be at yours for 7 and some how you'll get me down to meeting you at 5 instead!!
Keep it real hommie
Home Comforts Why not indulge yourself!
If I was out there I do not know how I would cope with the heat, dust, room sharing (but only becasue I snore)!!
Good job the bus stopped, I wouldn't fancy hitch hiking anywhere let alone in a different continent! Keep going mister, thinking of you and how much you are acheiving.
Best wishes Love Big Dave
How to be Sehail/Lion Cub? Are you sure all of these are how to be a Lion Cub? I am pretty sure I've seen some of these so called lion actions first hand when I've been round your place, or to the cinema with you or when at PFC. (Oh cool pictures by the way!!)
By now you are probably half way up Killi, so good luck with the rest of the journey. I will give you a shout very soon. Many thanks for the good luck messages for my finals
Speak to you soon mister, Take care

Negotiation . . . . Buying your way into a country. . . . . .How very old school!!
All you have to do now is barter your way to selling your mum and sister for a couple of cammels then you can really say you've done it all! That and audition for a part in the Lawrence of Arabia remake! !
Do the taxi drivers drive as bad as they do in the UK? As a way of making your money go further, why not bulk buy coke in the morning and sell it on for profit later in the day ?
Speak to you soon mister
Love Big Dave
Best wishes I hope you do read the comments, you certainly have a lot of visitors checking whether you are dead or not!!
Many thanks for the invite for the Kili climb, but following the physio and works advise, my fitness and lack of holiday being signed off has curtailed the chance! My first of my two finals is tomorrow. I will no doubt give you a shout or leave you a message once they have finished!!
Love Big Dave
Its time this grizzly bear came out of hibernation and take a long hard look at the world. Africa here I come (in 2006 that is). I wonder what the lions will make of me?... full info
