Hi Marianne
Things going great, have had a fantastic first two weeks in Peru and off to Macchu Picchu at the weekend!! I'm going to be way further south by the time you get to Venezuela I'm afraid...same continent opposite ends! How long left in Thailand?
Your amazing travels The last 3 months sound incredible both scenery and all the friends you have made, very interested to read of your time in schools well done you! So delighted for you that you took off even though we are all missing you in the old Black Country, a warm welcome is always there for you. I think it may seem a little tame after all your adventures. Probably greatest excitement match between Wolves and WBA on Sat, Wolves trying to avoid relegation WBA had been close to drop but now safe!!
Philippa & I off to Scotland next week very exciting! sure we'll get down to Largs also seeing Nicola in Edinburgh. Chris has just heard he has a social work job in Sandwell probably based in Smethwick I know you have fond memories of the place!!
We celebrated John's 60th in style, few days on the Gower (where else) then a surprise long weekend at Centre Parc with all the family we had brilliant time. Babies are well and growing especially Freddie aka bulldozer because of tendency to crawl over Martha and anything in his way.
Take care and look forward to reading more about your travels all sounds amazing
Loads of love from all the Stourbridge cousins (and those in Notts and Coventry!) xxx.

God bless.

Wow indeed! Beautiful scenery. I would put the Amazon on my "someday list", but I wouldn't be so keen on the creepy crawlies! Glad you are keeping up your singing. How do you say "laldy" in Kichwa?
Hola! Hi Carl good to hear from you. My mum has been telling me you've been keeping tabs on my travels! You've got to get yourself out here...there is just so much to see and the way of life is fantastic!

Hi Angela great to hear from you...I hope all the Prices and Kellys are well!
Things are going great out here, thoroughly enjoying the farmwork and the teaching. Still a little while yet before I reach Patagonia...probably August, but don't worry, there will be a postcard in the post! I'll maybe meet you out there!!
Love to all

Ex-Newcomer Hi Gordon
The Midlands is much the same as usual. The weather's picked up dramatically this last week and all the flowers are out in the gardens and the first blossoms are showing on the trees. I still go a walk most days along the towpath by the Round Oak (2 curries for the price of 1 on Thursdays). I've only been in it once since, with a boatload of old folk from Jean's club. The food is still very good. All the office buildings across the road from the pub have been demolished and they're going to build umpteen houses on it - as if we didn't have enough already! You were asking me for tips about disciplining your weans. They look a jolly lot to me - but maybe it's the older ones you're talking about. Let me have more info about your particular situation and I'll see. My top of the head tips: Be yourself - Do everything with a smile on your face - Never lose your temper - Prepare your lessons well - And remember, a lot of teaching has to do with kidology. On a lighter note, here are the latest bookies' odds for the Premiership title race: ManU 1/2 Arsenal 11/4 Chelsea 11/2. I just hope they know what they're talking about! All the best for now Gordon.
Finally worked out how to read your blog!! Hi Gordon
Julie gave me your blog details, all seems an incredible experience, so pleased for you. Wonderful scenery John would say even more beautiful than Wales! Take care looking forward to hearing about Patagonia!
Take care from all the Stourbridge family x
Aunt Frances, football is the spice of life in every South American country. I cannot possible get under the skin of these countries and properly explore their culture without dabbling in a bit of football...much more to come!
Thanks folks...the kids were delighted to help out. They'll be even more delighted when they see Robin & Martin's response! Hope all is well back home and say hello to Lauren for me (ask her if she has any teaching tips for me!!)
Birthday message What a lovely birthday message for Robin & Martin and just so nice to see all your kids happy little faces. Keep up the good work Gordon and can tell you are so enjoying this experience.
A Jeelie piece! Great to hear from you Jack!
I'm toning down the accent donĀ“t worry, though I've managed to throw in some broad Ayrshire speak now and again! Perhaps you can give me some tips on how to discipline the kids?? I'll get a picture up of the jacket in due course! Hope all is well back in the Midlands.

Newcomer Hi Gordon - just received your site details from your Dad. You look as if you've landed on your feet and really enjoying yourself and, as you say, putting your Plumb Center skills to good use. I assume that, since you are teaching the locals to speak English (with a heavy Largs accent) there might be some wee Ecuadorians going home and asking their mothers for a piece n' jeelie! Can you give us a picture of you wearing that colourful jacket you bought? Carry on the good work and I look forward to your next blog (have you met any wee dollies yet?).
Awrrabest - Jack

Thanks Auntie! I'm feeling fit too! Treeking through the Andes with 15 kilos strapped to my back might have something to do with it!
