On day two we went to the Crazy Horse site and it was incredible. This is a privately funded project and although progress seems slow it is hard to conceive what they have already accomplished. Everyone should tour this project. We also went to Wind Cave which was interesting but not the prettiest cave we have ever seen. ... read more

Here are some of the pictures from North and South Dakota. Our first stop was at the Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l. Park in N. Dakota. A very different landscape from where we have been. This is what they call the bad lands. We spend a nice evening with Kevin and family and stayed at Ellsworth AFB, a very nice RV park. A storm moved in that night and gave us some neat sky pictures. From there we went on down to S. Dakota and Mount Rushmore. Topped off the day with a chuckwagon dinner and country western show, hee haw !!... read more

I am so far behind with my posting I will never get caught up. We haven't had good Wi-Fi until just the last few days so here are some of our older pictures. When leaving Montana and entering Canada we took some pictures of the Canada rockies and they were very much like the Montana rockies. There sure was a lot of marsh lands in the valley in Canada. We were terribly disappointed in Canada because it rained everyday. Canada's Hyw.#1 even washed out and forced us to head back to the US early. Lake Louise is short of water as is lake Moraine. They had plenty of rain while we were there but the snow fall last winter was not the usual amount and I think you can see in the pictures how far down ... read more

We've had the best time up here, visiting with Kerri and Keaton and going through Glacier Park. I'm sure my dumb camera will continue to jumble the order of the pictures but try to wade through it. A couple of the shots are of Kerri's house and from her back yard. They have a beautiful place !! Our second day in the park was on the East side and we could only go about 14 miles in the park from St. Mary's The "Going to the Sun" Hwy. is suppose to open on June 18 or 19. Rats, we can't wait for that. We enjoyed the eastern view anyway and a few shots at the Jackson Glacier. Off to Golden, Canada tomorrow morning and then on into Lake Louise. It might be a while before I ... read more

We were blessed with awesome weather today so decided to go up into the park for awhile. We are having dinner later with Montana Kerri, can't wait to see her. Going to the Sun Hwy. isn't open all the way yet. We drove up to Avalanche Pass and then back. They still have snow melting so once again the lakes and streams are full and beautiful. The pictures you see of the lodge are from Lake McDonald Lodge built in 1913. It is a beautiful well kept lodge. The lake you see is McDonald lake and the river that flows into it. After going as far as we could from the West entrance we stopped at Hungry Horse Dam. We got some more nice pics there. Montana is beautiful and so green! Yes, Kristen you would ... read more

Today was a traveling day and these pictures will most likely only be enjoyed by the girls. First stop was Seeley Lake and Tamarack. Next pics are for Kristen of Whitefish. We will meet up the Kerri tomorrow and post more. Sorry to bore those who don't know the stories behind these pictures. Oh by the way, we haven't haven't figured out why the farther north we go the warmer it gets !! It was 69 whe we first pulled into Kalispell and got up to 74 in Whitefish. Go figure ! These pictures got jumbled for some reason so I will try to label them. I don't seem to be able to sort them, I am tired so be it!... read more

Here are the Yellowstone pics, we spent one full day here and part of the day when we were leaving. We saw more wild life here but I still really enjoyed MaMa Moose at the Tetons, my first experience with a Moose. The water was running hard so the pictures of the falls in Yellowstone are really good and I'm sure only this way early in the year. Enjoy !!... read more

Well I'm back ............. We had 5 days in the Yellowstone - Grand Teton area and we had no dependable wi-fi or cell service. When we first got there everything was OK but the rumor was someone cut a main cable line and half of the state was down. The days we were in Yellowstone the sun managed to come out but the days we were exploring the Tetons were cloudy and light rain on and off. I'll try to split the pictures so that the Yellowstone ones are on one post the Tetons on the second post. I am sooooo bummed that the Teton pictures aren't better because these moutains are magnificant giants and amazingly beautiful. The clouds really ruined the pics. The snow melt plus the rains have all the streams and rivers running ... read more

I am going to skip Las Vegas since that only cost me money and I think you all know how crazy and fun Vegas is. By the way the money was for a new laptop not gambling ! Our next stop was Bryce Canyon and it was yet another beautiful park. I know we are taking too many pictures, but the Hoodoos and Grattos were so unusual and amazing. Enjoy the pictures. We are already at Yellowstone and Grand Tetons and I can't begin to describe their beauty. Forgot to mention we finally got to have a campfire and relax in the spa at Bryce, what a treat that was. More in a day or two. Love to all............ read more
