Tv rights As Reevsie pointed out the long blogs make me feel like you have saved me the trip out there by covering every point from the history to politics down to the social and fiscal policys. Good job not my cup of tea anyway. Thought it was to long for a paper to take on so emailed Palin for thoughts on a new show got an email back saying was Thailand near Florida and i didn`t win any seats there so no thanks. P.S thanks for the vote of confidence in my Keeping off to play tonight Dan Barry is my new nemesis
Public Comment Under immense pressure to make a public comment (oh the stress) ... I liked the hidden tunnels and the white buddahs and the guns and the snakes.
Its not one of my finest but it will have to do :-)
I have stuff to tell you but will send you a seperate message.
P.S I really liked the hidden tunnels!
P.p.s. I still need to find out where you're going to be early next year so I can come out for some adventure.
Keep in touch. Speak soon xx
When in Rome Highlights - A cheeky re-appearance of the phrase.. 'when in Rome'... still gets me everytime.
The guns struggling to hold the gun... keep working on those biceps ginge.
Keep up the good work son !
THE TELEGRAPH CALLED... Hi mate, from your unfeasibly long "blogs" (i'm sure they're meant to be short and brief accounts of your travels) the telegraph have asked if you could do an asian experience piece for them in exchange for free entry to next years FFL (Rob 1st, i'm 2nd same old story)!
I'm sure you'll be please to know liverpools extraordinary luck continues and they are still joint top of the league. Re our travels we've managed to cram in some more beaches and look forward to bumping into judith chalmers along the way, who'd have thought you'd have burnt your usually bronzed body!
Looks like you're having a good time and haven't scared off all the girls you've met up with (how are the cartoons going down in asia? hopefully more successful than blighty!) how long do you think you can use the "my shoulders still painful" gag as an excuse to visit "massage" parlours?
The boat trip looked cool, re the cooking your own food any burnt eggy bread on the go?
We're getting geared up for our trip and got almost everything so looking forward to that, any essentials you forgot or didn't take with you that we should? (got the sense of humour and good gags already)
What malaria tabs did you take? Any side effects (they can cause two bobs!)
cheers matey
Howdy Garthy,
you are a lucky b*gger am so jealous, although don't fancy your chicken dinner you know would have vomited there and then. Was talking to lucy last night and she was saying that all the resturants in v have signs saying we don't serve dog! Did you manage to try a bit of dog!!!! could have been the reason for you two bob bits (ha ha)
take care

Keep the blogs coming, you can turn them into a book when you get back, that's if your ever return!!!
wouldnt get me on there. Hello ya ginger lobster. I like the photo of the scaffolding but have to say there is no way i would ever get near that health and saftey and all oh and i'm a girl when it comes to heights. Allways good to see that you manage to surround yourself with young women i like your style. Again the blog was excellent and you have cheered my day up with your banter. hope you enjoy bali and look forward to the next blog.

Group Reply Dear all, good to get your comments and in answer to these....
Andrew: I heard you chose to never took the stick with you.. Wayner: I er packed some white trainers that look quite good with jeans....Fi: foot massage, back massage you name if Ive had it (not that you perv). Tay: sadly you've got another blog on Laos to come, but there are cheeseburgers in it. Lucy: I actually ditched the shoes, if I'd had a lighter I would have burnt the buggers (still got black toenails). Mind you might have to design some more for sumatra... Kev: you'd better be working - hopefully on Masterclass III by now? Ford: glad you managed to work it. The only chance of meetnig the divorcee is thro the 19 yr kids I've been meeting, wish me luck. Lucie: I think I will need to elimate the leech flap before I approach the dragons with my idea. If I can't make the show cos I'm in hospital with leech infected wounds can you stand in 4 me?
CAKE!!! gareth, i have to say, me and ade were howling reading the trekking blog last night... the mental image of the 'customised' crocs was just too much to bear! perhaps it could be a profitable sidline for your return... note to self, must give duncan bannatyne a ring and get you a slot in the old dragons den. sorry its a quickie, starting work in a min... boo. cant wait to read the next installment! lucie and ade xxx
yellows Mate, sorry for delay just learnt how to switch the computer on and your blog came a close second to other experimental sites that require a visa card. Anyway enough photos of elephants have you met a divorcee yet who already has a family, after all thats what you went for so stay focussed!
Looks Great Hi Gaz you fit in well... ginger, smelley, dirty etc looks amazing .
The Blogs are a real good read, keep them coming. and we will keep on working!!!
trek guides omit the finer details non??? Hey Gareth..... wow, it look like you're having an amazing time and I'm extremely jealous of your travels so far..... ah, the memories!!! I didn't do the treehouse thing when I was away and always kicked myself, but after that explanation of how hideous the trek was I don't think that I would have been able to hack it. Did you take a picture of your new designer leech attracting shoes? I would like to see them as they sound tres chic!!! When we booked our trek we were told that it was a relatively 'easy' one but they must have got their translations wrong and meant to say 'evil' as we spent two days sweating through the Thai jungle.... and there were no zip lines at the end of it either! Anyway, godspeed to you.... looking forward to the next instalment!
cool treehouses! Glad to see those lines holding up and keep up the good work on the MaccyD's burger eating! Rachy woo send her regards as well as davey and els. She has read all the blogs (honest). Must have been great fun sleeping in the trees, I'm really jealous. I think those pheasant feet and head are there for added flavour, you should have just mixed it all in.. Can't wait to see the next blog on the 'Naam. Cheers for now..
Wow all of this looks amazing I am incredibly jealous of it all, well maybe not all the snakes you have appeared to have seen! How are you coping without all your creature comforts? Although I did see in another blog that you had been for a foot massage!
Hope all is still going well.
Take Care

Allez Matey, top notch adventures - we are all enjoying the blogs and vids. Mia loved the zip line vids and can't wait to try it! Mark thought you were some weird ginger monkey!!! (Well that's what I told him!)
I Can't believe you didn't pack suitable hiking/treehouse shoes. You must have had what - a few weeks to prepare!!!
Keep em coming. Allez W.
PIGS Garth, you never did like food repackaged on the 2nd day did you !
I can't see any reference in your blogs to the procedure when you have to take a Krap (as they say in Thailand). You see when I did this Trek stuff, back in the dark ages, we were given a stick to go out to the bush with to Krap. I innocently assumed that this was the Krapper could infact dig a neat hole and cover the Krap, however it soon became apparent that it was to beat away Pot Bellied pigs from your hind quarters, wanting a warm meal !! The result was the Krapper ended up doing an impersonation of Frankie Detorri giving the whip to Bight Tuttocks in the 2.30 at Ascot with his kegs around his ankles.........
We have now moved with internet so I am up to speed. Take it steady and pack a stick if I were you - the alternative is not appealing...........
Group reply 2 Lingling - will email photos soon. Rebsy- you'll be pleased to know I've not had a BK since Ch Mai (everyone else - I haven't found one, it's hell). Check out next entry to compare Grizedale to Gibbon Exp. Wyn - hope all well with the new venture....next blog coming right up..
Group reply Cheers for the comments boys'n'girls a few replies: Kev nah Eng game was too late over here - saw some action on youtube (not like that). Jonesy - it should be better than my diss, it's taking longer ha ha. Cas- wish I'd taken the sunscreen advice b4 my day kayaking in the sun..! Lucy - b4 I set R another challenge can I double check it was 12.7% of his bodyweight and not that of Maximus (the elephant not the Roman Emperor) as I don't want a bill from the NHS when I get home. Reevesie - nice work on the belt size. You may want to get your pizza fix in Uk as they aren't too good over here (so I've heard). Burgers are lush tho.
You're right to be embarrassed by the BK/McD addiction - shame on you. Surely rice in a leaf is just as more-ish? See any stray ping pong balls in your Thai travels? Your jungle girlfriend may have been able to oblige... or is that just a silly stereotype? ;o)Elephant sanctuary sounds/looks cool - the baby elephants particularly. Nellie certainly gave you a cold shower to remember, and the rafting looks fun too, plenty of bathing going on mate. Looks chilled out. All good here, gained plenty of bruises at Go Ape in Grizedale the other week (along the lines of the gibbon experience?) and went to see a cool film called Man on Wire, check it out if you see it around. Loads of other incidentals of life but it pales into insignificance really... Details on request! x
