pie?
hello! I'm sorry, I don't know you, but I did a google search for "pumpkin pie oslo" and this was the first hit. I'm an american who is trying to make pumpkin pie for my friends at the national art academy tomorrow here in oslo, and I spent all afternoon looking for pie filling all over oslo, but to no avail! It looks like you were at least able to find it- where on earth did you go? I live at sogn studentby, but I can obviously go anywhere. ok, time to stop being weird. If you get this before friday afternoon, please send me an email at josesivi@khio.no! thanks! Joseph

The Canadian embassy is in the same building as Tom's job! It's funny how they can manage with a floor in an office building, while the American embassy is an entire fortress :D Turkey never really caught on here I guess. And I kind of understand why, for me it's the most boring meat ever. My mom tends to do some turkey dish at Christmas though, since she knows a family who sells the beasts.

It is really good but be careful not to bite on the peppercorns!(you kind of have to push them aside) I had this dish while I was in Norway. It was the best trip i took. I made my arrangements with Kontiki Travel 718 748-7400 (they knew everything, they are in a Norwegian part of Brooklyn) I had to change my ticket and it was nice to have someone to call instead of listening to a recording. There is another dish I had called Lapskaus which was like a stew with carrots, Potatoes and Beef. Anyone know the recipe ...it was delicious.

Locations?
Hi Dan and Danielle, I found your blog when I was browsing pictures of Oslo a couple of weeks ago and I love reading about the fun stuff you guys do in Oslo and looking at your pics. I was in Oslo this summer and I absolutely fell in love with it and would love to move there one day. Anyway, I was wondering if the picture of the river lit with candles is taken in Gamle Oslo, and the Water's edge is taken in Aker Brygge? Thanks! mira

easypeasy: just call the number. if i'm logged into skype i can answer. if not, you can leave a message that i will receive, and can call back. you don't have to have an account, but if you do have an account we can talk skype-to-skype (both using computers w/ internal microphones) and it won't use any of my minutes. but you don't have to worry about it.

You can do lots of stuff with lingonberries, but I think the only stuff people do with rönnbär is lemonade and gelé for eating with meat. Game/wild meat yes :) Lingonberries are used for that too.

Aha! I hope so. But I had a small package send that took only seven days...hmm. Is there anything I can do to expedite the process? I'm guessing not....

It's a Canon PowerShot SD600. Just a point and click, nothing too fancy but it works fine for most things. The flash can be really strong though.

is it like wild meat? lingonberries maybe? here you eat lingonberry syltetøy with reindyrstek or however you spell it. haha. maybe we should start some field research and publish some work on the berries of scandinavia. basically i just want to know what i can eat/cook with. :)
