Majestic falls!
I never realized how little I know about this country till I visited Zambia. enjoyed reading your blog, and knowing the Zambian side is more value for money. I didn't have the chance to cross to view the Falls from the Zimbabwe side. Saved me the $55! But I'm jealous you hiked down to Boiling Point. The photo from the 2 nd gorge is incredible!

Ethiopia is the oldest independent country in Africa, and the three main colors of her flag were so often adopted by other African countries upon independence that they became known as the pan-African colors

Another superb blog from you with a great tale and photographs! Have wanted to visit Sudan for years, but know that obtaining a visa can be difficult. Please elaborate about the brawl on the Nile ferry!

Another fantastic blog.
I do imagine it was unsettling for you to pop up in some of these places-- don't imagine the archeologists have many visitors. Laughed at your travel permit process...fantastic! Loved every single photo. Your portrait work is wonderful. Enjoyed the highlights and lowlights. We won't be traveling again until August but hopefully you'll enjoy and follow along. Keep your wonderful blogs coming.

Why you carry a gun, you can kill without it. Do you see how females are important in wars?!!

WITNESSING THE UNDERWORLD
I hope the poor girl is accepted back into her family and community as cleansed. The supstitions that lead to ostracision and alienation of children and troubled souls... in the guise of being possessed...are as chilling as the ritual you observed.

Wonderful Blog
Like Dave, this was one area in Ethiopia that I did not see during my three visits to the country, but it would certainly be on my list if I was to return. Thanks for posting such an engrossing story with equally impressive pictures.
