Earthquake Hi Darren,
I'm sure everyone is wondering if you are OK following the earthquake. Let us know if you get a chance. I have been enjoying your blogs
Dan
Mineral water? Sounds like there's a lot of minerals in the Ganges water - ick!
I can't wait to read the next installment of your travel blog. Love it!
Stay safe!
Dean.
Adventures in India Seems like you are having a great time in India still. I'm back in Los Angeles, but definitely wish I was still traveling in India. Keep us posted so we can travel vicariously through you.
Everybody Was Kung-Fu Fighting... da da da da da, da, da, da...... Ha ha, I know it must have been scarey but I'd have paid good money to see the look on your face! You should have given them a taste of England with a flying head-butt!
Love to hate you! I'm so envious that you're off travelling again! The first day in Delhi woud have been enough to put me on a plane home! I had a similar (but much less scary) disagreement with a cabbie in NY. I thought he was gonna run me over when I refused to pay him!
It's nice to see the postings from the college guys. The names bring back memories... all of them good.
We (wife Suz, kids Jake and Luke) have all moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma (work promotion). Right now we're staying in a hotel waiting for our stuff to arrive from Virginia. I thought I'd check my email.... Thanks for adding me to your distro list. Sorry I've been out of the loop for a while. There's no excuse for not staying in touch so I won't try to pull one out of my arse :)
Stay safe! Keep up the blog. I love reading about your adventures. Maybe you should consider publishing some of this? It takes a certain degree of, um, testicular fortitude to do what you're doing.
I take my hat off to you and wish you the best of luck.
- Dean
You guys have got more bottle than me, after that start to the trip in Delhi I might of been tempted to pack up and go somewhere more hospitapal.... like Iraq :-)
What an escape Ooh Daz what a frightening experience on your first day luckly you kept your witts about you and got yourself our of the situation, this will keep you on your guard, take care and keep up your blog so that we know you are safe. Mum
Ho my Biddha!!!!!! It is sound so adventure as well as Dangers, Glad that you both are safe and sound, will pray to god for both of you to have a safe journey through your Journals, By the way who is Glyn??? ;-) xxxxx
Oooooh yeah I'm not laughing. I'm not! Well, I am, a little bit. You did better than we did mate. :) Don't trust everyone in Rajasthan though either!!!! Except the Tourist Office in Jodhpur. They were our friends, even without any money changing hands. :)
Delhi Sounds Grrrrrrrreat! Jesus Daz, it sounds fucking mental in that place, they obviously do this to everyone, it sounds more corrupt than 1970's Vegas!
Well the main thing is you're safe and in a better place. Keep up the entries and keep having fun.
Ross
Lucky Escape Be careful out there... a friend of mine got drugged and robbed in India whilst working for the voluntary sector. He still suffers from problems now...
He ended up being chased by a few locals until he reached an embassy.
Stay in the tourist areas!!!
:)
Good Luck Hi Darren and Glyn
Good luck and best wishes on your travels, looks like a very full travel itinerey! I would recommend New Zealand, I was there for 2 months backpacking way back in 1980. Let me know if you see any good wildlife (animals not nightclubs).
bye for now
Steve
Have fun!! Dan's ordered me to devote two hours each day to getting the random insult generator working on this blog, so you'll soon be getting some serious spam. Sorry in advance.
Have fun in Delhi mate. "Chello chello" (don't how you spell it) is a phrase that I believe some people find useful, although personally I preferred, "No thank-you." :)
Good luck!!
Simon.
all the best on your travels I will be looking forward to reading your blogs about your adventure, while i am bored at work. Booo, work sucks big time!
x:-)
