| 5th September 2007 Tricia | Fiji - From: It's a hard life in Fiji. Have just seen your pictures from Fiji which brought back some memories. We stayed on Plantation Island which is one of the honeymoon islands but it was a long time ago and it was absolutely beautiful - so unspoilt. The only thing on the island was the central 'restaurant' and about 20 huts for the guests. The water was so clear and the snorkelling was unreal - then I found out why nobody else was out. There was a shark lodged at the entry to the reef and it had been there for two weeks! Nice of them to say! LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. VERY JEALOUS. |

Hello Chris Caroline, Another beautiful part of the world you have seen and another set of fantastic photographs supported by superb descriptions. New Zealand really is a beautiful place. We have seen lakes in Canada that beautiful torquise blue colour against the backdrop of the snow capped moutains. You will be moving on to a more tropical climate soon and experiencing the warm sunny days in the Cook Islands and Fiji which hold very happy memories for us. What a fantastic journey you are having and how many wonderful sights you have seen. We are fully into our house move right now and struggling to get rid of all our clutter, which will be in about 2 to 3 weeks.W e havre just watched Liverpool lose the Asian cup final to Portsmouth on Penalties, Grandad says we are getting rid of all our miserable games before the season starts proper. By for now all our love Grandad and grandmum xxxx |
| 26th July 2007 Tricia | New Zealand - From: Mountains, Lakes, Snow, Chocolate and Ghosts! South Island Adventures so far.... It does indeed look as if you have just walked through the wardrobe my darling girl. What a beautiful place. No wonder they film all those block busters down in New Zealand. I had no idea the scenery was so beautiful or that there was so much wildlife and space there. The rock formations are amazing and I LOVE THE ICE CRYSTALS. I want to come there badly! Now would do. Love you very much - Mum |
| 24th July 2007 Tricia | New Zealand - From: Milford Sound - are we in. . . NARNIA? How beautiful everything looks. The most amazing photos - those icicles are unbelievable. The Tasman Sea looks very calm in your picture - it wasn't like that when I was crossing it all that time ago. Waves coming over the top of the ship!! quite scary - we were all locked inside. It is one of the roughest passages of water on earth I think. I love those seals just sitting there. It does look truly amazing - I hope one day to get there and see myself! I agree with Rachel - my favourite pictures yet!! love you - Mum |
| 22nd July 2007 Vic | - From: Milford Sound - are we in. . . NARNIA? You've wasted no time in getting 'stuck in' to New Zealand! How are you handling the shock of climate change? Are you merely putting on brave faces - or are you really enjoying it as much as the excellent pictures suggest? Have you located Upper Hutt? Will take a copy of this latest update of your journal to Nicky's birthday lunch tomorrow, with a copy for Gran, but page 2 won't print for some reason. If you do have time to track down Andy Wardle, he might bore you schitless with his QPR videos (Sorry Chris, I don't imagine he's even heard of Liverpool living that far away from Merseyside!) |

We stopped at Palm Cove when we were there (less scallies) and went up to Karunda then on to the barrier reef. What about the 'Pool? I had 20quid on them to win at 25-1so I,m hoping that we can see them off. What are your plans after Gold coast ? give me a rough idea of your plans. We have been making the most of the good weather staying in the outback----of wales! still it was great with little Matty, and Katie. making sandcastles on Llandudno beach. After the latest performances of Chelsea, maybe you might bump into Motor Mouth Mourinhio looking to manage an Aborigine team next season. Must away now your dad has a belting video to watch, its called Kill Bill Three, I think its an action movie. Bye for now Stay sharp Stay safe love G/Dadxxx |

The photos are fantastic, I am so envious of all the lovely places and sights you've seen. If you ever want to come back to England it will be a miracle. You both look so well and seem to be having such a wonderful time, experiencing so much, can't help feeling jealous stuck in boring old work! The pics are really good quality, it was worth getting a decent camera, so many of these places are once in a lifetime experience so its good to have a decent record to look back on. Thanks for keeping in touch. Love the little koala! Loads of love to you both. Mumxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

| 20th April 2007 Mum F | Catching up! - From: MOST RECENT Melbourne. . . . Hello to you both. I thought I would put an entry on your blog as I haven't done for a while even though we have been in touch via emails. I was looking on in the hope you would have put some photos on from your trip up the Gold coast last week. Come on no excuses you've got a new camera now! Good to hear from you and I can't wait to see your photos, your trip sounded fantastic. I would especially like to see the penguins. I bet that was a lovely sight. Missing you loads Love always Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx |
| 5th April 2007 Vic (Caroline's Dad) | - From: MOST RECENT Melbourne. . . . Hope Chris was able to see those two Liverpool victories. The only downside to what must be a certain return to the England team is that Crouch will save McClaren from the sack. What a pity that would be! Speaking of chocolate eggs, Somerfield (the supermarket chain) made a PR cock-up about Easter Eggs. They expressed their concern that very few young people seems to be aware of what the eggs symbolise - that they are commemorative of the BIRTH of Christ! A spokesman referred to the faux-pas as "a typo"! Can't wait for their explanation as to the purpose of Hot Cross Buns! Did you go to see Dame Edna? The new tv series is running over here and dieing a death. Have a great Easter and don't eat too many Red Lindtt Eggs! |
| 5th April 2007 Rach | Boo - From: MOST RECENT Melbourne. . . . Hello there! glad to hear you're still having fun, shame about the job but least you gave it a go! Hi there Chris & Caroline, lovely to hear from you, sorry we've not been in touch for a while but know how you've been getting on from looking at your blog etc. Melbourne looks great and tall your photos are amazing. Weather is starting to pick up a little here, although it's foggy in good old manchester at the mo. Damian's 40 in May so we're off to Antigua for a couple of weeks, I think he thinks if he's away from England and family then it's going to pass him by and he'll still be in his thirties......can't wait 43 more sleeps to go till sunshine!!! Don't leave it too long before getting in touch again and let us know your movements. Have a lovely Easter lots of love Jo (Your favourite Auntie) & Damian xxxxxxxx |
| 5th April 2007 katie | boo - From: MOST RECENT Melbourne. . . . well hello!! sounds like you are still having an amazing time! nevermind about the job, it sounded rather boring anyway!! I had written and sent you a long e-mail to your hotmail account (caroline) about two weeks ago, but mum says you didn't receive it? which is rather strange... I like your hair caroline, have you had it cut and dyed? looks trés bien. When does your lease in Melbourne come to an end?? and where are you off to after that?? I am in the midst of a very boring and pennyless easter, I'm painting the walls at the ivo for money, good times (at least it's not bloody yellow lines this time!!) I'm also trying to begin organising my 21st party, which is probably going to be in July. Sally and Neil have said I can use one of their barns!! which would be amazing, but all the planning is a bit daunting!! I hope christophe is well and not suffering too much in the freezing temperatures you are now having to endure (ha ha bloody ha!) Hope to hear from you soon, e-mail my hotmail account if you can. tons of love, pip. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx |

| 18th March 2007 G/Dad | Hailstones. - From: Still in Melbourne Hy Gypo's, Looking out of the window right now its hailstones the size of golf balls coming down, and a 70 mile an hour gale blowing. this made me think how you must be getting home-sick after so much boring sun-shine and tropical weather. After a miserable week , with a selection of certs going down at Cheltenham as G/mum has said we are planning to book a holiday over the next few days. Liverpool are doing well in the E ufa cup and the new stadium is now under-way They are increasing the spec to hold up to 75k this will reduce the waiting time for a seasons ticket to about 10 years. So I dont think I'll Bother. Hope you get sorted out soon with some work, and would you let me know what the next leg of your travels are and the provisional time scale. Take care of each other stay safe Lots of Love and best wishes G/Dad.xxx |

I hope your journey went ok and you weren't too uncomfortable and managed to find somewhere to stay without too much trouble. You seemed to have done a bit of travelling but in terms of India you haven,t gone that far, it must be a vast country. Have you planned each stop or are you deciding as you go along? If you plan to be in Sri Lanka on 1st Nov you will be able to see plenty of India so I'm glad you are enjoying it. We look forward to your next blog, lots of people are reading them. Hope you have got over your sickness Caroline- it was inevitable wasn't it. Let us know how you are getting on. Love and kisses Mum xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ps Bolton 2 L'pool 0, yah, boo sucks!!! |
