We never did finish a proper entry about our excrutiating experience in La Sirena. I think its best left to our minds. Thanks for keeping up with your experiences. Its nice to know someone else out there is dreaming of far-away lands!! V

Hurry up and wait!
Elin, can't wait to get down there and hang out in the sun like you. Looking forward to the trek through the jungle and all that comes with it. The adventure, the mosquito bites, the dangerous snakes. Are you up for it? Counting down the crazy days until my departure. 13 more sleeps... ahh

HOLA!!!
ey, I was searching the web and ended in your BLOG. I'm from the Dominican Republic, I live in Santo Domingo. Your report is very acurated, I'm happy that you are having a good time (almost :P) on our country, we dominicans love to share our little piece of earth. I recomend that you visit Constanza, it's the coldest place in the Dominican Republic, I bet you'll like the ambient it's pretty green and you can bathe on the several rivers it has. Try to avoid the cities, it's a shame to tell but there's nothing interesting in them, just history (along with a couple of clubs too). The guy on the minibus is called "cobrador" you can translate it as "collector". Taking a ride on a minibus is sure an experience, but us dominicans are acostumed to it already (beign all crowed). I have to say that the dominican people are very warm and treat extrangers as a friend, it's hard to go out and not to get in a chat with some one unkown on the street. You are yet to see more hilarious things, and i'm sure you'll get to see more on the remaining time you have. Take care and have an nice share of our country ;)
