For years and years I have wanted to put on a backpack and wander off into some exotic country far far away, with great diversity in the natural as well cultural palette.
This winter, out of deep dispair and hibernation-syndrome-sickness, I finally managed to scrape together enough financial means to realize this dream. My spouse was unfortunately not able to do the same, so this is turning into a one-man-journey, which doesn't make it any less exciting...!
I will be all on my own in this strange land, of which I've only heard rumours and seen portraitish snapshots of. I really have no idea what to expect!
My plan is really simple; there is no plan - yet. As soon as I have my visas fixed and the last paycheck from my temp job (as a caretaker for a disabled person) goes through, there is only mental preparation left. I will bring my regular digital camera as well as my polaroids with me + my little netbook, so I hope I can stop by some places with a kind of internet connection for updating this blog.
