Hello ALL! Many appologies for not updating in forever. I've been super busy with Greek (it's taking over my soul...yet I still cannot form a properly constructed sentence and still we're having a midterm tomorrow....) and other school work and of course traveling. I have loads to share with all of you but unfortunately that time is not now....but soon. I promise after my midterm I will sit down after I finish one of my papers and I will share with you the following: * Fountain's Abbey (a continuation of the First house Trip) * London * Wales * Robin Hood [View Full Entry]

Hello Again. I've just had an amazing weekend in Wales with my flatmates. We stayed in Conwy, in Northern Wales. It was so beautiful and serene there. Very idyllic. We were there from the 26th to the 28th of Oct. We arrived around eight on the 26th so we didn't see much of the town, but we did search for food, and found the Archway, a cheap yet good take-away shop. The welsh beef actually tastes like beef. I was impressed. Our hostel was at the top of a very steep incline. It was a workout trying to walk up [View Full Entry]

All right so I have had a very frustrating day today (26/9/07) and I just feel compelled to get it off my chest. Never again will I complain about the registration method at Luther. It is glorious, really. I started today at 6:30 am (about 12:30 am for those folks in the states) and caught the Medlink (a free bus from the city hospital to the Queen’s Medical Center (QMC) near University Park, where campus is.) It takes roughly about 45 minutes to an hour to get actually on campus from our flat so I was doing well I made [View Full Entry]

Early Friday (14th) morning at 8 am, we left for our first house trip. We loaded the coach and drove about 2 hours to York. Along the way our coach driver, Bob, pointed out different landmarks and told us about the history of the area. Once we arrived in York at about 10, we went to our hostel to drop our stuff off so we could explore the city centre. The hostel we stayed at was the York YHA (youth hostel association.) It was surprisingly nicer than any of us had expected. It was a 15 minuted walk to the [View Full Entry]

Hello Everyone! I'm writing to you from the Nottingham flat, it's about 9:35 London time so it's been a long day (several days.) For those of you unaware here's the scoop. After packing up my stuff and forgetting things (oh, mom--I found those quarters) my parents drove me to the cities to meet up with Erin M, a fellow Notter. We had a huge breakfast at Baker's Square then we went to the Lindberg terminal by way of Humphrey. Baggage check and all the check points went just fine, even with the highened security. Erin and I said good-bye to our [View Full Entry]

Hello All! I figured it was time for an update. There is less than 15 days left before I fly out and I was thinking that I might recap the summer. I have about 2 weeks left of my summer internship at the Runestone Museum in Alexandria. It's been a great 3 months there. I've had a great time learning and experiencing all facets of the small museum. I even installed three exhibits! Other than the internship I've been working at the Geneva Beach Resort and the Viking motel. I've also been working at the Minnesouri Club, it's a lake club [View Full Entry]

Flight Route Kia BurresonHello everyone! Even though there is still 68 days left (Kate and I are counting down) until I leave, I thought I'd get a head start and try to find a site that would help me to keep in touch with everyone still at home here while I'm abroad for the year. So far my summer has been enjoyable, I've been trying to work as much as I can while still allowing myself time to think about next year. Anyway I hope you are all well and this site will help you all to keep abreast of [View Full Entry]
