Go Blue!
I'm so going to Chile. They have impeccable taste, apparently.

I think I accidentally sent my last comment without finishing (I'm typing with one hand and holding Trevor with the other) Anyway, that snow sounds like the kind we had in Denver this past winter! I'm glad you got out relatively unscathed...I also had to laugh at the rental story. I always find it funny when a worker at a store gets "bothered" when a customer walks in. Ha!

I can't wait to see you guys, but at the same time am sad that the Central/South American portion of your trip is over and I won't be able to read along with the blog entries anymore! It certainly provides a vicarious thrill from here in the BofA building.

Thanks for all the wonderful pictures. We feel like we are there with you. And Juan Value...who knew he'd come from a line of such spectacular untapped potential?

When in doubt. . . hump the drum
I remember studying Father Romero in Jesuit high school - at that innocent age, it made quite an impression on me. I liked the guitar/mcguyver story - glad to see you guys are living the dream of music legends - Guy Terrifico would have been so proud.

The Great Condor
Here is what I learned from Carlos: while being an American is all about Breakdancing and Jazzercize, being an Incan is all about Cocoa Leaves and Rat Beer (once necessarily has to follow the other). How is that for a great telling of inconvenient truths.

Em, I can't believe you agreed to have your picture taken with the gigantic, furry, scary spider. It must have taken a lot of willpower to go through with it!! Dave, did you actually fight the girl and the monkey? They both looked pretty agressive!

How is Arod's huge start playing in the Honduran and El Salvadoran press? Do they refer to the Yankee shortstop as El Jeter? And why no tributes to Daniel Ortega in the Nicaragua section of the report?

The journey continues there seems to be such contrast between the beautiful landscape of some of these places and the civil unrest, poverty and/or gov't corruption. On a different note, happy birthday Dave and Trevor! A person equally surprised by Trevor’s arrival was his Mom! But he is up to 5 lbs. 14 oz. now, and doing well. Addy saw Trevor's picture on the blog and said "That's my baby brudder!".

Are you "Romancing the Stone"
just kidding...I loved romancing the stone with Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner (before she turned into a man that is)...and when ever I think of Cartagena I think...is Danny De Vito going to be eaten by an alligator. OK - no one will understand this unless they too are Romancing the Stone fans... :-) You two sound like you are having such an amazing trip. OK - Advice...you must advise me as to which country I should be buying beach front property? Have fun you two....literally I think the coolest couple around right now...

Let's play ball.
Although Emily lists many of the charms of Cartagena, she neglects to mention that it is a baseball town the first place we’ve encountered that puts soccer on page 2 of the sports section. Our hotel has about 20 channels and four of them were showing ball games. It’s hard to leave.
