Flats - From: Kendalia, TX to Wimberley, TX
Hey guys, I stumbled onto your journal and noticed the high number of flats you're having. I had a similar problem and what I discovered was that the rim tape on my wheel was not covering well. Put on new quality rim tape and not a flat since. Hope this helps. Good luck on your journey.

Cool pics. My grand daugher, Katelyn-Jo, who's five now, would love to know "how" you did that, she is a natural artist, camera, or computer most especially, ambidextrous, but not an Einstein. That's ok, I like her just the way she is. Beautiful. I was telling one of my brother's how the 2nd generation of Martinez kids are so handsome or beautiful, & now the 3rd generation, are very. God loves beauty, in and out, and there is nothing wrong with being beautiful. Hopefully both ways. Coz some people are no so nice inside, that's sad, eh? So much for that, keep on having fun! I'm having fun, just reading and looking at the pics. May your day be blessed today!

cotton - From: Las Cruces, NM to El Paso, TX
(sorry for all the typ-o's!!!!) Did you know my dad's grandfather (my great, your great-great), owned three Cotton farms? One in Texas, one in New Mexico, not sure where the third was. We were heirs to a "Cotton Tycoon" (giggle), but when my grand dad died my dad & his sister Tia Lucy's used the cash value of the land, & invested in a Diner, out in the middle of nowhere land, & of coarse lost all our "Restaurateur Tycoon" inheritance(giggle again) My dad hated the farm anyway, my grandmother died on the one they lived on. :( xoxo

awesome - From: Las Cruces, NM to El Paso, TX
Shawne, I was so excited for you to meet my dad's (your grandfather ramiro)'s cousin, Tony. Their mom's were sisters. I loved Texas. We had a blast in the caves n all. Lots of stories. My love and prayers continue with you & Jo on your journey. Eustolia, a trip eh? 98. I was kind of half smiling about the 3rd generation...Eustolia with dark skin, broken English, Tony, well his Mexican drawl, and then here pops in a blond haired bllue eyed Califonian saying "Hi! We're related" That is comical, and yet so wonderful. In Christ, be safe. xo

Bike riders passing - From: "T or C" back to Caballo Reservoir, NM
Hi from Doug & Sharon, We met in Las Cruses, New Mexico at an RV park for the night. We were heading West to meet with friends for a bike ride in Silver City, NM as Shawn and Jody continued East. We are now back in Houston and hope to see the weary riders for a visit. Hopefully they can take us up on the offer of a warm place to sleep and let me do a bike check up. It’s a nice halfway point and I have connections with TREK bikes. I sell them. We took a few pictures and will let Shawn or Jody add them to their blog when they get here. Good Luck with the flats, I‘ll see if I can assist on that problem as well. Cya soon, D & S…

Yes, the lovely air of winter. brrrr. So ya'll like heart-burger? One of our largest distributor's of chili-con-carne in Michigan, uses beef heart for their meat ingredient, could be why they sell a lot. As you all know, the Tigers are at bats with St. Louis...Go ,Tigers, Go!!!

me again. those rainbow critters are kind of like the water flys we had in Detroit, by the river, we squashed them with our bikes, with our feet, with our cars, they were everywhere, on everything, including but not limited to the water, windshields, covered the streets, and smelled so fishy, yech, sorry Jo, it isn't fun but it has to be done. Squish.....

Hi Jo, glad you're having fun! We have a friend for your hook man, and crazy guy....Rach and I were putting a PICC line in a guy yesterday that started growling...yes growling...halfway through. He sounded like a possessed demon! He would growl then sing with the music, and growl some more. After that he kept talking about wanting to die and why wouldn't people just let him die??? He was absolutely nuts! We're thinking too bad we can't ship him there..he might actually fit in and have friends to growl with. :) Good luck and stay safe! Love ya...Linda
