Chiang Mai - the first 3 full days - ive been told they call it a Mini Bangkok, its a city of some 150,000 people and has a striking mountain backdrop, over 300 temples and a real layed back feel about the place. Its about 30degrees average for the last 3 days, so during the day its very warm but then around 6pm every evening it pours (and i mean pours) rain for 2hours, which is funny cause you can spot the tourists who run outside to get cooled down. The city is full of mopeds, everyone seems to own one an its the best and quickest way to get around the streets. So the noise of the bikes can be deafening during the day.
