Thanks for all your comments
I don´t feel so alone here when I am ill. The owner is a sweet woman who is 63 and she tells me she only wants to live to be 70. I told her that maybe she should make an appointment with her priest for her last rights. She has had some sadness in the life. Her son, who helped her initiate this business with his degree in tourism died tragically in a car accident. The Nicos live very close to the edge in no many ways. Soon I will send some pictures to show what I mean. I haven´t wanted to venture out to internet cafes where they can read my cameral card.

great place to be livestock
Hi Dawn, Sorry to hear you were sick! Part of being a seasoned traveler I guess! You are gonna be so skinny from working and sweating and not eating!!!! The costumes , people, scenery, buildings and pictures are beautiful. It is great that you share them with us....thank you....terri

Robby
Robby, you need to hop a flight to Houston then Managua, Nicaragua. There are plenty of horses that could use your attention. I ask the locals what the breed is and they say ¨Medianos¨. And they do look in between a pony and a horse. Most are thin and covered with ticks. Nos vemos. Dawn

Recital
I´m sorry I missed the recital. Who was there and was it a big hit? Did the husbands, etc. enjoy it? I would like to see some traditional dancing here. There is a festival this weekend, so it´s a possibility. Dawn

Hi Cathy!
Thanks for the update, I´m glad the ducks are doing well. Thank Gary for me, he is such a sweet guy! I am looking for the best coffee for him. Often in coffee country when I go to a cafe and order coffee they give me instant coffee in milk - it´s okay, but I want the real thing! Is Giada, the cat still around¿ Gary told me she was friendly with Tortuga. Dawn

Glad to hear you're feeling better. I had a bad experience in college with hippies and mushrooms too......... I wish we'd have thought of the plastic bag trick when we moved the ducks! I might not have had such a mess in the back of my truck. A dozen grocery bags and some zip ties, and they could ride in the front with us! Nice! Take care, love you, miss you, see you soon. -your hero

Hey Patty
There are showers, you just have to do in under 2 mins. Otherwise someone will jump through the bushes and yell at you. They have Japonese Showers which are areas of high grass with rocks in the center. Basically you cant be seen too well inside. Dawn

You
Hey Babe, It's Saturday, I guess you're on your way to a new place. Are you going to the place with all the coffee farms? Call me when you can. All is well here. I woke up this morning to find a dead corn snake on the living room floor. Nice. Thanks for the present there, Rhuemy! It was just a little thing about 8" long. I guess it got in the screened area under the door and "killer" found her. Hope all is well. Love, Rich

Cool showers are better
Hey, The first drops from the shower are warm then slightly cool from the heat in the water lines. But I definitely don't want a hot one. Here it is also quite hot but if often takes until 10 am before the clouds lift. Love, Dawn

Hey Terri
Thanks for your comments and being a great friend. I am glad you enjoyed your vacation. We can learn a lot from these people who live so simply out of necessity. I hope the belly dance debut goes well and I am looking forward to the Sauce Boss. Love, Dawn

All is well here, hope your trip to Omotepe today goes well. Be sure to let me know when you get there. The mailman delivered a new phone book for Syndey. She really enjoyed it and already has destroyed the cover and the first several pages. We've been swimming every other day. I swim throw the ball to the end of the pool, she fetches it while I swim a lap. She drops it in the end of the pool where I grab it and we repeat the whole process for 30 minutes! We both get our exercise.... Black cat is fine, mad because I won't let her outside, but she'll have to deal..... Went golfing yesterday. Shot a 77 and won 71 bucks. Sweet! Cerveza dinero! Take care, love you and see you soon! Rich

Love your blogs
Hi Dawn - I look forward to all your blogs and enjoying reading about and seeing the pictures of what your doing - always very interesting. Did you know that Sunday is the last episode of Survivor and that next season - September - it will take place in Nicaragua at Corn Island and the Pearl Keys. You would make a good Survivor. Love, Aunt Pat
