Welcome Home! Hi Dave and Jo
Been reading your enteries and will miss them! Welcome home, hasn't the time just flown as can't beleive you are back already! Look forward to catching up sometime in the near future.
Cheers
The Bellagio Have a couple of dollars on No. 31 on the roulette wheel at the Bellagio for me ..... I love that place! Glad you are having a great time!
Like daughter like mother Seems as though US might be beating Oz for the favourite place at least with the size of the meals - I take it Dave that all the weight lost in Asia (through one way and another) is now steadily going back on. Jo - you and mum have obviouslly got an attraction in common - seagulls- whilst they appear to get their food from you they prefer to empty their contents on your mother !. Dave no doubt you have heard about the England team casualty crisis - dont go far from a phone you might get a call from Sven.
Keep having a wonderful time love Dad
Advice Let me know what your forward plans are and I can make a few suggestions. Can't believe you didn't let me know you were in SFO. You could have gone to Mitchell Brothers. The best lap dancing bar in the world and Jo would have been welcome there too!!!
Sounds like you had a great time!! Well. Now I am envious. It seems an age ago since we were with you in Aus. Sounds like you have had a great time. Looking forward to seeing all those pics Dave. We will have to come around and stay for a week to go through them all. Have a great time in US of A. All our love Chris, Sandie and the boys. X
Farewell from our sunny(?) shores Hi Jo and Dave
Glad you had a great time and saw many of our famous sites. Sorry we were away when you returned to Melbourne - Ben was going to take you to an Aussie Rules football match although not quite the same football of course! Enjoy the rest of your trip. We look forward to reading of your further adventures.
regards,
Paul and Margaret
A new adventure begins! It seems as though you have been in Oz for ages, or at least I feel as though I have been back at work for ages! So one country closes and another one begins, I am sure you will have an equally fantastic time in America at least the temperatuare should be better than you have been experiencing lately and in my mind you are getting closer to home! We will all be waiting for the next blog to hear what you are up to! Miss you lots mum XXX
Good choice Dave,
Looks like your having a great time, much better choice to travel the world than do the MBA (Miserable Bastards Award), everyones thats here getn ready to do the finals on Thursday...anyway we were just thinking of you guys, said I'd drop you a line if your blog was still there...currently we've lost Donna (she moved to Morroco and know one since march has heard from her) otherwise the 4 usual suspects are here... Also you maybe pleased to know that Vodafone is collapsing without you....
Anyway good luck to you both...
Cheers/Slainte

In Defense In my defense I only went in the sea because my son Richard wanted me to. I had no swimming costume!!!
Dave, I owe you one.
Great site apart from that photo though.
Love Chris
The way to do it It sounds as though you are seeing all the sites we did not get a chance to see although we did make the Blue Mountains before you! I think the camper van is the way to see Oz, beats this packing up your suitcase ready for the next flight and praying that this time it won't weight more than the allowed limit!! I think next time we visit, and I am sure there will be one, we will draw on your wealth of experience. We miss you lots too and will be thinking of Joanne on the 23rd, or perhaps it should be the 22nd since she will age a day quicker this year! Lots of love Mum and Dad XXX
You make me sick! Yeah, yeah lovely time. Great scenery, diving etc but you don't have the great British Climate, the cheeky cockney discourse and our great cuisine.
You ruined the premiership for me. I messaged you to mock your pathetic Man U attempt on the blue title rush and you leisurely text me back that you had missed it by sailing around the Islands. I hate you now.
My only consolation is that my golf game would improve out of sight whilst you had gone however this is going backwards and you will emerge as the ultimate victor. My only hope now is that you are putting on weight.
Eat more Snags, Eat more snags. eat more Snags.
Cyclone watch Hi Jo and Dave
Sara sent me your blog address so I can follow your travels. I was wondering how you were getting on with Cyclone Monica. Glad you finally got some sunshine and are enjoying your motorhome. Paul, Ben, Miranda and I are off to the UK next Monday for the big UK celebration - sorry you will miss it, but we will send photos.
regards,
Margaret
Great to hear from you both, we really miss you back over here. Asia sounded absolutely fab, I hope that you have an equally wonderful time down under. Watch out for the crocs, spiders and snakes (they have some of the most poisonous in the world you know, and I know that you do know Dave as you told me about the Bill Bryson book!). Love Peter and Christine xxxx
Roast lamb........ Well after reading about your adventures so far, looks like your having a fab time. My only question would be, after writing this well crafted blog, is there much time for sighting seeing?
And i bet you a missing roast lamb and mint sauce dinners Mmmm
Look forward to seeing you both when ya get back,
Andy
French indeed Yup I have seen these in France as well in some gas-stations next to the freeways. They even look worse in france sometimes.
But if you really want to see these kind of toilets in a very very bad conditions you need to go have a look in Marocco.
They say its more hygenic(sp), but I find them rather dirty.
toilet debate! Sad I know but I feel the need to let you know that in France those "toilets" are in fact called Turkish loos. I got so much stick over the years for what you guys think is a genuine French loo that I must stress this point...
Dave, great poem nonetheless, am truly impressed!
Lots of love to you both, keep safe and keep those emails coming!
Exotic loos The loo looks pretty good to me - it's clean has a floor walls and a door. I have definitely seen worse. If you get to Lke Titicaca watch out - hole, bucket and only quarter of a door. Joking aside you must be having a wonderful time. I thought I would write this as Sarah was very rude about my oldness!!! See you sonn we arrive in Sydney on the 3rd and Melbourne on the 7th. Enjoy China
Love Rosie and Sarah
Very French Oh yes, believe me they do still exist in France and often in the most unexpected cafe, so next time you visit France you will be well versed (excuse the pun). When did Dave discover his poetic talents ? It couldn't have been while he was sitting on the loo! Lots of love, see you very soon! Mum XX
Toilet Humour Excellent poem but i feel that it needs bringing to peoples attention that if you are caught out on a lonely french motorway you may sometimes come across these (yes even in civilisation). That was a bit of a shocker but was years ago so they may have since improved (god I hope so!!!!!!!). Continue to enjoy, don't eat any curry!!!
1st Time on Travel Blog!!! I know I should have been on sooner, my only excuse is my blondness! How exciting, will be seeing u soon joey in Oz!! Im all skinney (ish) now in preparation 4 the big day! Haven't picked outfit yet though Im thinking turquoise. What cha wearing cus? Have u had something made on ur travels? Mums wearing a floral number, God she's gettin old (only kiddin she's sat here givin me evils!). Hope u are both well! Can't wait 2 see ya both! xxx
Don't Forget United. ...and what's even better is that Liverpool knocked you boys (U.S.A....U.S.A.....U.S.A) out of the FA Cup! Just accessed your BLOG for the first time and great to see that both you and Jo are having a wonderful time! It must be amazing and you've still got so much more to do so enjoy! Love to you both. Jay, Clare and Charlie x
