After arrivin in Belgrade me and these other 2 aussies id met in Ljubljana and then bumped into on the bus. went lookin for the hostel... the Cyrillic street signs made it alot more difficult to find our way around... after walkin around in circles for a while we just asked a serbian lady for some directions, she ended up taken us all the way there.. serbians were generally some of the nicest people id met on the trip.. after checkin intot he hostel i went and got some food and some drinks and went back tot he hostel had a [View Full Entry]

When i arrived in Sarajevo a lady the worked for hostel Ljubica or however ya spell it.. showed me that she worked for the hostel which is the hostel i intended to stay at so she took me there... Sarajevo was my favourite city i went to durin the trip. it is alot different and more interesting to me then, every other city i went to. The Bus Ride from Dubrovnik was priddy uneventful i expected the border crossing to take a while.. went through about 3 or 4 different on the way there.. the scenery was nice on the way there some of the rivers were just polluted with rubbish but still nice enough. when i got to Mostar a lady was waitin for me and took me to her apartment where i stayed for 10 euros.. mostar itself was nicest places i visited, i liked the place even tho you could see everythin in a few hours. mostar itself is devided with croats on one [View Full Entry]

Once we arrived in Hvar we were approached by the old ladies straight away.. wen managed to talk one of them down to about the equivalent to 10 euros each for an nice apartment... the old lady takin us there was priddy funny she would stop at certain points on the way there and say to us "from this step.....5 minutes" ........"from this step 2 minutes", so informative.. after chuckin our bags down etc we went out got some pizza and had a bit of a wonder around lookin at the town.. then we went to a few bars.. the night [View Full Entry]

took the bus from Zagreb to Split. got to split in the evening around 7 or somthin and went to find the hostel.. which woulda been a lot easier if the map in the lonely planet was wrong after walkin around for a while i asked a croation lady if she new where this street was.. in lonely planet it is one of the main streets on the maps but it was nothin but a little side street, the croation lady took me to the street but the hostel was either closed or no one was answering... with no idea wat [View Full Entry]

spent quite a few days in Zagreb 4 i think , found a cool hostel called buzz backpackers the only good one in the center of the city, didnt do a hole lot in zagreb.. isnt that much to see really but i still like the place kind reminded me of a smaller version of melbourne just without skyline and not as large i went there expectin it to be a complet dump for some reason buts its far from that .. met a aussie dude steve who found the croation coffee barrister champ of somthin... this is where i began [View Full Entry]

Caught the train from Budapest which arrive in Ljubljana at 2 in the morning.. Like the city the train station was fairly small and it was hard to tell if the train sation was the main one or not after askin someone else they told me it was the main one.. after gettin off the train i worked out how to get from the trainstation to the hostel then wondered in that direction. eventually i found it only to find out it was fully booked. so i left ,without there suggestion of stayin in the hotel down the road for 50 [View Full Entry]

Got to Bratislava late at night no idea which way to go to get to the hostel.. then i met and american dude that was on the same bus who had no idea where to go either so we wondered out to the road then stood at the corner with our crappy map lookin like stupid tourists.. then a local asked if we were ok and pointed us in the right direction.. at this point the locals seemed cool but the city didnt.. after wonderin around takin a few wrong turns we found the hostel.. wasnt the best hostel no curtains [View Full Entry]
