Guttered...I knew you were going soon, just wasn't sure when. Apparently there was an unusual amount of rain and wind for this time of the year, as the Lakes District got flooded too. How lucky we are to be over here for the 'unusual' bad weather spells!

Ha...Mum was right - it was me that wrote it! Not Daniel! Do you think he would call himself MUG while I was called HRH (Her Royal Highness)!!! Oh, I'm guttered I'm missing out on Christmas carols - but don't worry, I copied one of my Christmas CD's onto the computer...not that Daniel knows yet!

Good combination - Dutchman and woman meet the Scottish. Sounds like it was an experience. Well written Daniel (even though your mum thinks it was you Monique). Yes - we saw that ride! It looked scary so I wasn't interested in doing it - we did stand and watch it though. That's terrible that people died there. It all did look a bit dodgy-carnival like!

at the end of the pier - did you see the scary high ride that hangs out over the sea and spins the person up and down? Brandt went on that when we went to Brighton, and I was thinking it looked a bit dodgy, and a few weeks later we heard that people had died as the thing fell apart!!!!!

Yes, the Thames is really gross looking, brown and murky. I'm glad we don't like seafood as I wouldn't want to eat anything out of there! The underground - lots of stairs, lots of people!

He he - your pics of London are almost identical to ours. Isn't the Thames disgusting??? And did you know that local restaurants pride themselves on serving fish from the Thames?? And the underground ... I don't miss the smell at all!

Great Time
Well, unlike others, we know you are having a great time because we can see it first hand. We have loved being here with you both and sharing not only your 'cozy' flat but some of your adventures. The 9 days are slipping by fast and soon time to leave you in peace again. Thanks for putting up with us. It is great to be able to read of things in your blog that we have seen and can recognise. Hi Dan and Mons, Yay for gates that have playing card suits on them!! Sorry it's taken me so long to comment - I think I missed this travel blog entry somehow. But I now have a new idea for how I think the footer of my bed should look. Instead of just a heart, how about a heart, diamond, spade and club? I'm sure Rebecca would love the idea too :) Anyway, I hope you guys are well and that the settling in is ok. I also hope you keep having cool adventures and discover new things.
