After the best two-hour flight we'd been on (thank you KLM), we arrived in Santiago. From the plane, we could see beautiful landscapes of mountains; we thought this was the best landing scenery we'd seen by far. At the airport, there were dogs sniffing every single person's bag for food and drugs, and like Patagonia, they were strict about allowing certain agricultural products into the country. As we exited the airport, we got into a cab. Two minutes later, we were stopped by traffic police for 'control' and were asked a few questions. We were told that the cab that we had sat in was unlicensed and so we were driven back to the airport.
