After falling in and out of sleep and trying to keep an eye on my stuff at the same time it was time to board the eight seater aeroplane. On boarding I met friends from California, Hef and Margo who were also heading to the Island of Nagigia and wave of King Kong’s Left. After a very scenic hour flight over Fiji and out to the Island of Kadavu we were taken by boat to Nagigia where we headed straight out for a surf. Access to the wave is by boat. You can paddle out and back in if you choose, and if you find yourself caught inside you can be

We checked out the historical buildings and then cruised over to his friend’s house where they have a steam train that they had imported and restored and laid track for. Big boy toys. My uncle is pretty handy and spent most his days working on projects of his own and often other peoples. Outside the work shop there is always things to do often in the Orchard where all kinds of fruit and vegies grow, along with chooks and pigs. He has made a number of impressive boats including glass bottom boat and a light weight trimaran as well as a number

I had a day to kills so with swell forecast for rather large surf at what is considered to be one of the worlds most dangerous waves, and with my new acquaintances in tow, a couple from South Australia, that was exactly where we headed. I hired a little open top 4WD headed to the wave at the end of the Road: The notorious wave of Teahupoo. With my little reef experience this was an interesting proposition. After a number of surf checks along the way we discovered that the swell wasn't quite so large. But none the less we waxed up and paddled the 30 minute mission out to the wave. There were quite a

We hit the beach for some surfing action and checked some department stores at the local shopping centre wired from the 1 litre coffee I had consumed. We attended a surprise lingerie party that one of Kendal's friends from work had thrown for her boy friend. What a girl friend!!!! Got to do some driving on wrong side of the road and hit the surfed between an Army base and a power plant with Saxon (Kendal's brother) and his friend Johnny who Darren and I also hung out with in Thailand. The ocean was alive with dolphins, seals, pelicans and

The shuttle gave me a pretty good tour of hilly San Fran, but sadly the driver didn’t manage to get the shuttle airborne at any of the intersections while cruising down the steep streets made famous in those Hollywood chase scenes. Rob was still at work but I was greeted at his apartment by his house mate Dave. Rob and Dave have a cool apartment with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We went Mexican that night and I spent the whole next day chilling out and updating blogs from previous adventures. The next day I walked down and explored Fisherman’s Warf. Waited for half an hour

Unfortunately for the people in the queues they were hours and hours long, many people missing their flights. It was quite a site. BTW also expect a mass out break of athletes foot (which may or may not have been planned by terrorists) for air travelers in the US as you are required to remove your shoes to pass through security at airports. So if you are traveling in the states you may wish to wear socks. I cruised on the airport shuttle to the Rio where I was staying for the next three nights. Rob my room mate was not until that evening so

With out wasting time with small talk he got to the real issues. He asked me if it's true that tall guys have big dicks and asked me whether I had a big dick, told me that he likes big dicks, asked whether i had ever been with a man, whether I wanted to, "giving of course" as he likes to receive. This barrage was justified by a "we are very open here in America". BTW I answered yes to 2 of the questions :) I was quite bewildered by this encounter but nun the less crossed my fingers that

If you have missed any of our adventures and would like to check them out, please go to: Darren's Travel Blog From here I caught bus to Ericeira and Darren went onto the airport and London where he is organising accommodation, a job and reuniting with his fabulous girlfriend Mary. After an hour and a half bus trip I was picked up by a girl called Stef in her Rover. I found out about the Portugal Surf Camp from a guy I met in the surf in Mundaka. While describing

Once I did reach the check in counter I was sent rushing off to pay excess baggage for my board. In the mean time boarding was about to close on my flight. Fun, Fun, Fun. Anyway, Sure enough, I arrived in London to some Barmy weather and Caught the Bus to Meet Darren. He met me a tube stop one stop away from his new apartment. I checked out his new pad and inside was his girlfriend Mary. It was a Friday night so I went to Leicester Square to Meet Clint and Andre who are also living and
