Right, Im 3 days in now. So far i've been to Amsterdam, Antwerp, Paris and now in Bordeux for a couple hours. Amsterdam was crazy, so many vices in that city. We first went to a range of different backpackers but none had any room for us. Untill one place told us as we were walking out that there was a room available across town, WHich we took. Turns out across town meant in the middle of the red-light-district. The whole town stinks of weed and then you are bombarded with hundreds of sex shop, prostitutes and the famous women in the windows... Definatly a fun place to visit but i woldnt want to stay to long. Next was Antwerp, sooooo many jewelry shops and a huge shopping street in the old part of town. Got ... read more
The start of my first full german day. I have come to marco's home in Mulheim(sp?). On the way i was given my first drive on he autobahn, IT WAS AWESOME!!!! Had a couple of great german meals, gone to an icecream bar and explored some of the German countryside. The cars here are amazing, so many brand new mercedes, bmw, audi and porsche just whizzing past you on the autobahn at 200+km/h Its been great so far.. I cant wait until we start the Rail Trip....21 days of new countries/people/bars/experiences we leave in 24 hours. I'm now 9000 km and 14 hours into my journey.... long flights are boring and KL is hot and sticky. Really messed with my own head earlier, telling myself ive never been this far from home. Found a cool saffa chick to talk to on the plane and i had 3 seats next to me empty to lie down :D:D Its kind of crazy. Travel Tip #1 Put phone on global roaming before you go, as you cant ring 777 from KL. Now im just killing time in the airport waiting for my next 12 hour flight into Frankfurt. Travel Tip #2 Buy cigarettes in KL, its less than NZ$ 20 for a 200 box... Not sure what else to add at this point...so look at my oresum-o pic of sum random wall in KL ... read more
