BIOGRAPHY& EPIGRAPHY OF ARTIST H.CIGDEM YORGANCIOGLU : Cigdem is a conceptual artist and a poet with a focus on awareness ,wisdom & fantasy . You can see the fire in her eyes while she is telling the stories behind each of her painting ,which is a real clue that she looks for nothing but herself .. Finger painted abstracts and figurative paintings seems like following the footprints of the past and future at the same time . Warm abstraction with her art provides a forms of representation and expression that attempts to go beyond what is seen, stripping away recognisable form to declare a personal response to the paradigms of the world. Abstraction is the distillation of feelings, intuition and intellect to construct new visual forms.charming paintings of ships ,sea ,underwater with their outstanding feature and elobrated with poetic existence of love ,history in timeless fashion, wisdom and passion, scented with a unique manner in her art. Her jewel-like shining colors and extraordinary sense of detail make each work a small theatrical drama.

. Cigdem has been flirting and dancing with colours, compositions and abstracts ever since she accidentally found her daddy's paintings in a bookshelf at the age of 6. She noticed that art was and would be inevitable in her life. She has got the feeling that she may even modify the universe or at least recreate it. Cigdem completed her education in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences as a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Economics at a pastoral university with a fantastic view namely Bosphorus University She is writing articles and poems on diffent artistic and travelling portals as well . She has been the first lady in Turkey painted on her pantholone and X-rays according to press articles issued. The pantholone in question has been given to an Greek artist in Newyork City and this pantholone danced (Sirtaki) at Central Park in September 1997. Prussian blue paintings on the hats made by her has been distrubuted to people at Damrak Square of Amsterdam. She painted on dust bin of Sri Marinan Temple at Singapore. And she painted the face of Maori and boat of Maori during her visit to New Zealand as well. All paintings were made by her fingers. A tiny shadows of brush was the tail of a cat, accidentally passing over ..Cigdem Yorgancioglu is hanging all around the word in 5 continents and leaving her hats, each visited countries .She has been worked as manager or as expert in Turkey and abroad in different business fields and expertised in Finance FCMS ,InformationTechnology and Telecomunication Sector.One of her favorite hoby is collecting shark teeths during low tide at North Sea ,which she realising once in every year .Swimming is another part of joy of her life. As a swimmer she crossed over Bosphorus Strait from Europe to Asian side in 1987 .She is scuba-diver as well and has been diving in Turkey and Red Sea since 1989 .Safari at Krueger Park becomes one of her favorite hobby as well after her visit to South Africa and she has been seeking for the next opportunity to actualise her safari plan . Her first poem book “EXEGI MONUMENTUM AERE PERENNIUS” ("I have raised a monument more durable than bronze." in English ) was published in December 2003 right after Cigdem’s first trip to South Eastern part of Turkey for the annual ceremonies conducted for Commagene King, Antiochus at Nemrut mountain each year .The revenue of the sale of book is directed to education of poor students in Turkey especiallay in Southern east part of the country . Her CD has been rendered as a gift to all guest at The Nemrut Mountain Golden Apple Award Ceremony and the 12th International Nemrut-Kommagene Festival that held on August 27-28, 2004. Also tourist can easily find her CD during their travel to Nemrut mountain within Governer’s PR’ s package .
Archaic Laodicea city which is situated in a geographical location on the south side of the Lycus River .So the second book OMNIUM RERUM PRINCIPIA PARVA SUNT inspired from the saying of Cicero ... "Ci" is the first two letter common with her name and that may be the trick and that was the time for new inspiration . She is personally intent donate the sales revenue of the book that is planned to be issued in coming months to be directed to Laodicea Excavation Fund .

Cigdem has been keeping her diary since 1976 .Writing poems since 1978. You can reach her poems ,articles and paintings in Turkish in many sites in Turkey and abroad . You can easily get the sweet and bitter smell of her art sounds like breaking the border between art and life.Touching her art ,seems like touching her heart .And she touch hearts by poems and articles as well .Her articles and poems have been published in various international portals in Newyork ,UK ;Russia ,Germany,Italy ;Holand and surely in Turkey .Her first solo exhibition HALICARNASUS(2003) conducted in the city where the one of the 1st seven wonders of world settled . Her second solo exhibition EFTALYA (2004)conducted in a historical bathroom buit in 1471 . This exhibition broadcasted on national TV channels in Turkey . Her next solo exhibition CALYPSO(2004) was again inspired from greek mythology and gained city and countrwide recognition . one of her previous solo exhibition CALLISTA(2005) held at French Street of Beyoglu ,Istanbul .with the opening ceremony of the Mayor of the town(Istanbul) .People came from abroad to see her art . Her tales and games has been issued at press articles and broadcasted at radio and TV channels .Her next solo Art Exhibition at Florida deserved worldwide recognition and mainly outstanding one with her new contribution to promote education via her Art pieces as she did in the past .Her solo art exhibition “”EFTALYA ALA TURCA (2005) at States “ has been held in West Palm Beach and Dave of Florida Signature Grand Ball and Cigdem's sold picture donated for the renovation of Turkish elemantary schooll at small town in Turkey namely Karpinar Isýk Beldesi of Trabzon via the Volunteers Of International Culture & Education based in Florida . a t the end of this fund raising event (Little sushine for little stars ),the founder and the president of V.O.I.C.E. ( Volunteers Of International Culture & Education) and Artist H.Cigdem Yorgancioglu http://www.cigdemyorgancioglu.net principally agreed on working for future social responsibility projects mainly to to help elementary schools in Turkey in various ways.

Cigdem made her first live radio broadcasting in TRT local radios during the bienal conducted in Antakya in Early summer 2005 . Her solo exhibition made up her paintings with anagrams was called ALTIN AYAK, ALTIN KAYA YALAN KITA , YALIN TAKA . (2005) She painted a boat with her fingers in the same event .

Cigdem attended the brick action (AKCE CIHLA ) of Portus Praha by painting 34 pieces of brick at Na Prikope of Praha in Czech Republic to provide help for mentally handicapped people on their way towards achieving self-independence well as self confidence , towards leading a normal life without being consigned to large care-taking institutions. Her solo art exhibition and theatral performance in Ayvalik /Turkey EFTALYA AYISIÐI VE ZEYTýNDALI which was dedicated to the tales of Olives was a very remarkable event in the area and has been broadcasted on TV . (2006)

Cigdem Yorgancioglu's 10th theatrical performance and solo exhibition with distinguishing characteristics GALATA PERA EFTALYA (2007) has been broadcasted on Tv channel opened with the participation of VIP guests ,artists, press and TV 's on 25 March 2007 ,as of the new year celebrations of old calendar prior the Gregorian calender at NEXUS of Asmalimescit Sokak . The second leg of Cigdem Yorgancioglu's ISTANBUL 2010 European Cultural Capital has been sponsored by turkish and worlwide well-known wine company DOLUCA SARAPLARI . As a destination of wonders ,while focusing on the historical backroud of street Cigdem also related the the name of the Asmalimescit with grape leaves and Pera as the source of grape which followed by the poems dedicated for wines . Rosalind as the daughter of Agatha Christie who was inspired her the mystery of murders of The Orient Express mystery in room 411 of the Pera Palas Hotel.

She is concentrated mainly different remarkable profiles of Rue de Pera and Galata as a cultural heritage of Turkey including Nazim Hikmet Turkish famous and reputable Poet, playwright, novelist, Bulent Ozturk famous fiddle-player in Istiklal caddesi , .Besides Having been concentrated on 25 March importance all over the world and throghout the recorded as the date like Mother's Day in Slovenia and its relevance with paintings of Rosalind of Agatha Christie (painting on ) , as a date of Greek Independence Day while acompanied by a song of Turkish greek singer .

Cigdem is the first lady in Turkey as a pioner of a new game called “olulipo”.

She is currently working in a IT Mobile Telecom company as an expert in Procurement & Warehouse department in the division of finance and She is currenty member of the following associations namely ; National Geographic Society Member,The Society for the Protection of Nature Member ,PADI Society Member (Scuba diving ),Bosphorus University Art Club member ,Audiovisual Cultural Instution Member (Cinematography)
