(This is actually from a while ago.) We stayed at the Adams Mark Hotel ($$) which was right by the arch. It was a pretty place. The people were pretty friendly. They were having a party by the Arch the first day we were there and we met some nice guys that got pretty excited when they found out we were Californians. So us Stocktonians did our "play" for the audience on Saturday night and got 2nd place. Not too bad. Don't have many pictures at the moment, but as soon as I find them I'll post them.... lol. Until next time, Chrystal... read more

I was in the Rose Parade! It was so freakin insane. My friend Jeff was on it too... and wow did our cheeks and arms hurt when it was over. I've never been to it before, so I was shocked by the millions of people that come out to see it. I had guys yelling "I LOVE YOU!" at me and little kids looking excited when you say Happy New Year to them. So I got there about a week before to help build the float.... glue was everywhere. This was my second time working on a float, first time ridding. Now when they say that everything is made from a plant... they really mean it! I did under the car with these shredded flowers... ahahaha I was digging it out of my hair, eyes, mouth, ... read more

Yeah... I loved North Carolina too! Since I was the President of the Theta Rho Assembly of California I got to go there for a week and attend meetings (only for the weekend, the rest of the time I was free to do whatever I wanted :) ) Anyway... so yup, I was representing California. This city was all about art and jazz! Everyone was so friendly. "Good mornin' to ya ma'am!" *tips hat* Oh how I loved it. I didn't see any tagging on the walls either. Oh and just near the hotel I counted at least 21 churches haha. I discovered the BEST place ever for pizza... it was called Mellow Musroom... makes you drool... I sware! They seriously need to get one over here on the east coast... I wouldn't care how far ... read more

This has got to be one of the most amazing things I've ever done! One behalf of California and North Carolina I presented a wreath at the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknow Soldier. It was so tear jerking... I'm a huge supporter of our boys and girls fighting for us. After all the talks that were heald in the coliseum everyone headed around back to get ready for the ceremony. On the way to the back I passed a few soldiers.... God they were so tall. I felt really small, not just because of their height, but just because they were so great. When we walked out in front of that audience and approached the second soldier you feel this great deal of pride... it's hard to explane. But the whole thing ... read more
