Thank you
Hi Tim, thank you for your comment and for providing the answer. I guess the question that i'm asking now would be why didn't kenyans go over to India as well? A friend said that this is the same reason as why the malays from Singapore did not go to china/india.. maybe the british only allowed singular direction.. or the ships on the voyage back are filled with precious goods from Africa / Southeast Asia for trade..

Great read
It's interesting to read a perspective on my country from a different person...to answer the question you asked earlier in this blog about the indians, the reason why they were brought to kenya was to build a railway that would connect uganda to kenya during colonial times by the british...good luck on your travels and I'll look forward to reading your next entry

hahaha..
funny psycho... i'm now in dubai.. will update Lamu, Nairobi National Park, Lake Naivasha, and Hell's Gate NP sometime this week.. should have some time... Dubai is a weird place.. never saw so many construction of tall buildings going on all at the same time. .also, never seen so many different races in one city together.. and there doesn't seem like any dominant race! .. still suffering the culture shock.. lucky i flew out from nairobi. if fly out from ethio i'll probably have to lay in room for a couple of days..

Entrepreneurship
Woot! I think the kids that you met on the train ride who has red flowers very creative leh! they dared to be different! They are trying new method of marketing! FOREIGN TALENT!!! Singapore would need them! Then again, they might just be normal uncorrupted village kids. I tried to think about your singular direction question and... hey! It inspried me to uncover such great mysteries like: (1) How come the europeans followed the Spanish (i.e. Columbus) lead to migrate/move to the New World but not the other way round? Would have been nice to meet Iron Rod (son of Sitting Bull) in Paris, don't you think? How come the Chinese move from China to SE Asia but not the Malays from Malaysia/Indonesia? Hmmm... perhaps having come from Indon yourself, you can may know the answer to that? ;-)

Jiang Gong Shu Zui
Hah hah hah.... can you make amends for not answering my many calls and thus wasting my IDD charges by uploading the photos of those sexy African tribeswomen? (IDD charges start the moment the phone rings, not the moment you answer) Many guns with rectangular magazines. Should have taken a photo so that I can try and identify it for you. Then would have had more details for your trip!
22nd April 2007

eh...
you called me for 20mins when it was 5am+ my time.. i need my beauty sleep too =) during the day i may not hear the phone at times.. as the phone is in my money belt.. so pls understand if i am not able to answer in time.. but i should be able to answer by the second call..
20th April 2007

Hey...!
Hmmm.... I am starting to wonder if you really want us to call you at all, man... I mean like I spent the better part of 20 minutes tryingto call you on my local IDD charges and you never picked up the phone! Do you know that IDD charges start the moment the ringing tone does?!!! Duh....

Sudanese Visa!!
Gosh, you are lucky! Def luckier than me... I went thru all to get the damn visa and then got to the border and realised that loads of pple are fleeing out... up north to Egypt, Wadi Halfi side cos there was a big fight at the border... all borders were closed... no tourists allowed. The only good thing is I get to make so many Sundanese frens... They shared with me their life stories... Therefore I head back Cairo and changed my plans... head east to Jordan and Israel instead. Haha... plans change... I am excited that u are heading towards Capetown... heard and read so much about the journey
