Well 5 more days to go and we have got some sunshine after a few days of rain and cold. the islands definately look much prettier when the sun is out. We had a great day yesterday, scooting around on a quad. Teresa on the front Sel on the back with the wind in our hair and rain on our face. We walked on the black pebbly beach under the shadow of a mountain at a place called Kamari, bought some more souvenirs since we decided we now have enough money to spend it like it's going out of fashion, [View Full Entry]

Pin-cushion

Hello all, As there has been only one response to my last entry (thanks auntie Rosemarrie) you probally won't care that I am still alive and have been cleared of any lung diseases or virus. Anyone would think I had the bird flew (hee hee, get the pun) or something. I now have many needle marks in my bum (sel calls it a pin cushion) but I feel much better. We have finally got to explore some of the islands today and enjoy some of the scenery. Tomorrow we head to Santorini for two days and we are looking forward to [View Full Entry]

Well we are now on the island of Paros, and have not done much exploring as yet. The main reason being Teresa (me) is still sick and doesn't have the energy to do much. We decided to go to the doctor today, as I am getting no better. To my suprise I apparently have Pneumonia, the doctor was not happy with me and asked why I did not come earlier. He says 'its serious u know' Well I don't think I have Pneumonia, but I have lots of drugs to prove it, hope the police don't check my bags. I have [View Full Entry]

Well, we are in bustling Athens at the moment, and are about to embark on the last leg of our journey, travelling over to the Greek Isles. Chester filled you in on what we had been up to as far as Florence, so we will fill you in on what we have been up to since. We travelled from Florence to Rome via Pisa, but only due to a train-ticketting bungle where we were given a ticket for the wrong date after paying 30 euros for a booking, but we managed to jump on a couple of non-reserve trains anyway. The [View Full Entry]

The girls are having a down day today, and since they are both asleep I thought I should fill you in on what we've been up to. I know they've been a little slack with their posts, especially with photos. We are currently bunked down in a village about 20kms east of Florence at a place called 'Camping Village Il Poggetto'. It's very picturesque with olive groves and grape vines dotting the country-side - the perfect place for a naturist like me to feel at home. The girls are having an afternoon nap after their 2 young room-mates from the [View Full Entry]

We only have a few minutes left on our net time so this will be a short one for now. We have spent the last 2 1/2 days in picturesque Interlaken, where we have taken many pictures of the snow caps and scenery. Very much like SW New Zealand, but the mountains seem to be much closer. We went up the Jungfraujoch yesterday morning, and it was a long trip just for us both to get sick. Not sure whether we were suffering from travel sickness, altitude sickness or maybe abit of both, but we didn't enjoy our time up there [View Full Entry]

Hi all, sorry it took so long to blog but we haven't been able to find cheap enough internet cafes to let us spend enough time to log in and put on a blog. To cut a long story short....... When we arrived in Ireland, we couldn't get money out of the ATM as it rejected my card and ate Teresa's. After spending 2 1/2 hrs at the airport sorting everything out we finally made it to the hostel and on to the 6-day tour. The tour guide was fantastic - hilarious and very knowledgeable. We went to Belfast first where [View Full Entry]

Edingurgh Castle
Edingurgh Castle
Edinburgh Castle looms over Edinburgh - why they built a castle in the middle of a city we will never know..... haha
We have just returned from a whirlwind tour of the Isle of Skye and the Highlands of Scotland - lots of Braveheart scenery. We had a very talkative bus driver/guide for our tour, who had an unlimited number of stories about clan feuds, faeries and legends, not to mention Scottish history. He also told us a few porkies, which we weren't aware of until he informed us. We attempted a tour record of 12 people in a phone box on Skye, but I think he just did that for a laugh. He also took us on a 'wee walk' up [View Full Entry]

Sel and Teresa were still sleeping and this hot chocolate really hit the spot on a cold morning.
We have now been in the UK for 5 days and I have not come out of the bag much at all. I do have to say it has been cold and I didn't bring any clothes with me so it has been nice and warm in the bag. From what I can make out, we went to Madam Tussauds, I peaked out of the bag on the big bus tour but it was freezing, I caught a glimpse of Big ben, went on a river cruise and saw a few big churches. On wednesday Sel and Teresa slept in [View Full Entry]

Well, the plane flight went better than expected. For anyone who is interested in travelling overseas, Thai Airways is excellent. The service was fantastic, and the food was very, very yummy. London is cold and wet - a nice welcome for 2 Aussies very much used to hot and sunny. We are going to do the tourist thing tomorrow, hopping on the underground and popping up all over the place seeing the sights. We went for a walk this morning into town, and a half hour stroll turned into an hour long trek, just to get to Harrods! Myer has nothing [View Full Entry]
