oh wow that margarita looks big enough to cure any Jetlag!!! It is so good to get your blogs it takes us out of our dreary day to day grind, we really look forward to reading them, and as usual we are sooooo jealous. the Grand Canyon has always been a place I would love to go to.
meant to send you a "long life" for 22nd of April in remembrance of Rob but got severely sidetracked. I am sure you had him in your thoughts.
Lots of Love the Abrahams Gang
USA BLOG NEED to go there! Fantastic. One of my "things to do before I die" is to ride a horse down the Grand Canyon and now I am inspired to try and make it happen. On a silly note, we did do Disneyworld in Florida some 5 years ago - a group of four forty year olds with no kids - and boy did we have a blast! Take care, xx
Thank you Thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot. Yes, Tim and I are fortunate and we certainly know it! We totally fell in love with what we saw of the States and seriously think that it is "undersold" in terms of the beauty of the landscape.
We met very few foreign tourists - most were American. This is wonderful in terms of Americans enjoying their own country, but sad in terms of the world seeing not more to American than films, Hollywood, Disney and good shopping in New York.
We will be back. xxx
Loved it all! Pam has shared every one of your blogs with me, and I have shared them with my brother. We have both really enjoyed them. ( My brother lives in San Diego.) I am so sorry that you did not get to see Pam - how wonderful that you dedicated this final episode to her! I particularly loved hearing your perspective on our corner of the world! I will do my best to spread the word about all of our natural beauty. I was surprised that you had not heard about how beautiful it is - and how there is so many different types of beauty! Enjoy all your wonderful memories. You and Tim are very fortunate to have had such a wonderful experience.
California roller et al. Catherine - I am humbled. Yes....there will be a next time, and we will dive into deep margaritas together! Thank you, my friend. You are missed. God bless.
Can't think of one actually Loved reading this...but oh, "Auntie Chill-lax".....my heart is sore 'cos I know that you got to LA and I didn't get the chance to see you! Sorry.
Which old friend ?? OK...loved reading about the North Island and all the natural splendours stuff, but ......the suspense is killing me.....which MGHS girl did you meet up with? Inquiring minds want to know (or is it "enquiring"?....ick, Mrs. Goold would be most upset with me). And seriously...you were brave enough to sing a Pussy Cat Dolls tune? Wow!! I'm sooooo impressed, Catherine! LOL. A great read as always.....keep up the great job!
NZ DEEP SOUTH Hi there - I never got down as far as Invercargill and Southland but it sure sounds pretty inhospitable! Amazing experience though. By the way, I stayed in Queeenstown once years ago - the views with the evening sunset on the snow capped Remarkables was one of the most stunning sights I have ever seen.
Take care guys and keep writing!! x
WOW! All I can say is "WOW"! The glaciers are AMAZING....and you "negotiated" the best deal.....a helicopter ride to what must have felt like the top of the world !! (or would that be the bottom of the world?....or is it the top of the bottom? .....I'm so confused!). What fun!!
Thinking of you both.

Crazy Catlins and Into the Head Wind Thank you,Christine, for your kind comments. That's fine re publishing my blog on the Facebook Group - am flattered!!
great writing I've so enjoyed yr account of passing through the wild Catlins - I hope it is OK if I put it up on the facebook group The Catlins NZ.
Just been over the Crown Range this week and no I don't have the words either. I do love the conversation with the cyclist..
Great reading! Catherine - Have so enjoyed the bits about NZ. Isn't this world the most incredible place?.....from Hindu temples to the majestic views of New Zealand........top to bottom.....hardly seems possible that all can exist in one planet, and yet it does. And how life has been moulded and changed by each environment. That is what totally fascinates me......that somehow, we are all connected in ways we don't yet understand even though we are all so different.
If you have the time, chances are slim I know, while you are in NZ, try to make contact with some of the ex-MGHS girls...I believe there are a few of them there. Elvira Tassios seems to be the most active of them on Facebook.
Sigh....I do hope you will come this way.....I really would love to see you again, my friend. And I would love to meet your Tim...you have done a jolly good job of training him!
Bye for now,
P.
