The next two days where spent riding bikes and tasting wine. We rode through vineyards, then a little town, then more vineyards, and then another little town. We tasted wine at 10:30 am, which made all the wine taste like bannanas and toothpaste, at Nicole and Piere's wine cave. They were really good about teaching us about the whole process of wine making. They don't even think of selling their wine untill it has aged at least 7 years, which is a huge commitment and it has paid off. I liked their wine the best. They made the tasting fun and [View Full Entry]

Start of the Wine Trip Europe » France » Burgundy
we all arrived in Paris to start our adventure! we hopped a train to Beaune and checked into our hotel and began to explore Beaune. Beaune is a major tourist town for the Burgundy region, it is one of the bigger towns and it lies right in the middle of the valley. If you don't know anything about Burgundy, i didn't know a thing before this trip, here is a rough descpription: there is a valley in France that is perfect for growing grapes that are perfect for making wine. The soil is perfect the amount of sunlight and rain is [View Full Entry]

I have been at home this summer and loving it. I have done everything from fishing to water parks to rebuilding an old swimming hole. My parents are currently living Krakow Poland and I am going to take a visit and see a little bit of Europe. This is just a warning post so you can be prepared to see more pictures and read more badly written descriptions of my adventures. Here are some pictures from this summer. [View Full Entry]

Mike and Bridget flew in with Woody and Tammy and we headed South through the Exumas. We Stopped at Normans Cay and had a wonderful dinner at MacDuff's. The next morning we snorkeled the plane wreck and ate lunch at Wardrick Wells. That evening we spent the night at Staneil Cay and befriended the entire island. We attended the Valentine Festival at the public beach and headed off for the pigs. We enjoyed feeding the pigs and Woody and I found a nice lobster for dinner. After lunch and dinner was in the boat we went swimming in Thunderball Cave. We [View Full Entry]

Day Off Central America Caribbean » Bahamas » Exuma
Working in the Bahamas is actual work, no one believes that but we spend 5 some times 6 days a week working on the boat. There is alot of cleaning that goes on just to keep her up. But the days off are pretty great. We have made many friends down here. Ben is a fellow capt. from Florida that runs a 42' Saber, and he stays in the boss's house and has a 26' Regulator to use. We decided to take off one morning to try and catch a fish or two. We left the dock at 6 am and [View Full Entry]

We decided to spend the night in Compass Cay. Compass Cay is famous for Tucker and his pet sharks. But before i get ahead of myself lets talk about going to Rachel's Bubble Bath. There is a pond on the Eastern side of the island where the waves break over the rocks and fill the pond and the water sits in the sun all day and heats up. It is a pretty walk up the creek to Rachel's Bubble Bath and you can soak in water water all day. We spent the afternoon hiking around and sitting in the water. When [View Full Entry]

Staneils Cay is home of Thunderball Cave. Tunderball Cave is the spot where the James Bond movie was filmed back in the 70's. It started as a puddle on a big rock. Over time the puddle got deeper and deeper and the waves wore out the underside of the rock. They eventually met and formed Thunderball Cave. We stayed at Staneil Cay and enjoyed a nice chicken dinner provided by the girls and we spent a little time the next morning walking around town which doesn't take that long. We took the dingy over to the cave and we all bravely [View Full Entry]

We picked up Sigrid and Melissa in Nassua and got off that stinky rock and had a quick cruise to Allans Cay. The great attraction of Allans Cay is the iguana population. They hear your motor as you pull up to the island and come out of everywhere and they are looking for food. we brought with us a few bruised apples and some excited attitudes. We got a chance to feed the iguanas and got our first taste of the Exumas. The iguanas where placed on these three islands to be studied on how they can survive with out predators [View Full Entry]

When the cold front finally lifted we finally threw the lines and headed out of Marsh Harbor and headed for Elbow Cay. Elbow Cay is home to Hope Town and Tahiti beach where we have been before and my family and I have spent vacation. Matt and I tied up at Seaspray Marina and rented a golf cart and headed for town. It takes a few close calls before you get comfortable driving on the wrong side of the road. We made it safely to Hope Town and parked in the local parking lot by the public dock and walked through [View Full Entry]
