A dream, a conquest an experience. When I dreamt of seeing Santorini I thought it would be one of those places that the post cards made look so good, but in fact it is better than what any post card can depict. When Phil informed me this was the ideal place for the legend of Atlantis I was keen for a look! We flew from Athens to Santorini, staying in Thira, on our last European trip we pre booked bare minimum accommodation, Santorini was one of those places we hadn't pre booked and in the middle of summer expected to have some sort of trouble. We had both dreamt of Stonehenge for as long as we could remember, its one of those places that is intriguing and awe inspiring. Most people that visit Stonehenge walk away from it and say ' it’s just a load of rocks', but thankfully we had some appreciation of the site with an early morning private tour. We left Water Mill very early one morning to drive our beat up old land drover to a place in the English county of Wiltshire, about 3.2 kilometres (2.0 mi) west of Amesbury and 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) north of Salisbury. ' How about a change?', a great question for a couple who had lived in London a while and were looking for their next adventure!! Phil my now husband, was asked this question by a local London chap he was working for. Who would have thought that our original meeting in Ireland in 2007 would take us all the way to Silton Dorset!! Silton Dorset, situated in the Blackmore Vale about 4 miles north west of Gillingham Dorset, about 2 hours train ride west from London Central. My husband a builder who took on the enourmous task of gutting Waterloo Mill and renovating the interior to meet the clients standards.
